so i seem to have stumbled upon a strange debate,

after having issues the first time i was playing FNV ( freezing lack of loads but very limited and seldom) i uninstalled the game data and reinstalled it again as a hope to fix any underlying issues..

well it worked, i was one of those players who had very little issues according to freezing, frames per second those major types of issues.. companion bugs, story bugs, soft flooring issues all remained.

suffice it to say i heard word of players systems frying so i grabbed my flash drive to make a back up of my game saves and other assorted settings, started up a back up to find out i lacked 20 gigs of space needed to back my ps3 up onto my 16 gig lexar flash drive. so i deleted all of my game install data. after backing up my system i now have to install the data to my games again.

i have been playing FNV for about 4 hours and have ran across a multitude of issues including being locked out of the strip, hard freezing, 1-3 frames per second until that led to a hard freeze...

i uninstalled the game data AGAIN and now i'm almost where i was before my back up but not completely.

(also note there are many people with radically varying results, if it was in fact an install error this could explain and large part of the issues!)

----how to uninstall and reinstall the FNV data----***

Please give enough time to acquire results (about an hour or 2 of play)

go to your PS3 desktop menu
move left or right to GAME
scroll up to GAME DATA
look for fallout new vegas and press TRIANGLE to view the data size
look for the larger file size about 4 gigs or so or 4 thousand and some odd MB
delete that
reinsert the blu-ray disk and allow it to update and install

*** this will not remove your game save files those are located in the GAME SAVE DATA folder
