Real and honest feedback for Skyrim and especially Todd H.

OK, there's going to be at least just one comment here which is simply the flat truth, and isn't user-preemptively muzzled out of fear for nicety-enforcing moderating, and doesn't give credit where credit is thoroughly undue.

Regarding Todd Howard's work on Skyrim: I think he did a very poor job. Apparently, writing game manuals doesn't do much stimulate mental depth. With what was provided within Skyrim, I'm inclined to think there are is a rock or two bouncing around an echo chamber atop his neck. Seriously, Todd: You can't argue that Skyrim was creative or deep or engaging just because there was nice scenery. There was nice scenery but crud-all of absolutely anything else. Sorry that you believe the soft, padded comments all around you. It's almost difficult to even classify Skyrim as a game, let alone an RPG, because it's so barren in quality content. Excellent environment? YES. Nice music? Yes. Excellent anything else? HELL NO.

You wasted a beautiful world environment, the most attracting the team has yet made, by making it no more fun than it is for me to walk from my house to the mailbox and back, ad nauseum. I personally think you should be fired for this - but the execs at Beth are likely completely just as un-skilled at game creation as I perceive you to be. I also don't think that you should continue with another effort, because I don't think that my and others' finances and time deserve to be spent while you feel around in the dark. I think that you should be able monitor and observe somebody else who has demonstrable skill to make an engaging PLAY (not look and listen) experience, but if you haven't put the effort into learning what makes what, then who are you to think that you should be given control of the wheel of the ship? It's arrogant, and at some point it becomes an overt abuse of the people who pay for these things expecting an experience that at least somewhat measures up to the gloss on the box.

All the sentiments congratulating an utterly vapid and brainless game are irresponsible and naive to think that affirming and encouraging a sorely-inadequate effort is going to do anything other than produce future sorely-inadequate efforts. You people without understanding are setting the bar to level failure, and you're simultaneously literally being definitive liars. You don't improve reality by ignoring it, you just distance yourself further from it. Keep at it long enough, and soon reality just drops you and you'll sit there there like dazed chumps wondering what happened, when the answer will be that you simply failed to happen.

Bethesda has become ever increasingly isolated into an ivory tower, with sterile reviews and fawning poor nerd journalists who, just because their own souls are completely deprived, rather than presenting Bethesda with honest criticism and feedback, choose instead to protect the one element of the game that actually IS enjoyable (the scenery), at the cost of all the rest - and the burden of that cost is not just on themselves, but everyone. Those selfish journalists should have their very non-existent balls fed to an armour-wearing horse - I imagine that it wouldn't hurt much at all.

I could fit the sun in Skyrim's plot hole.

This one will definitely get locked.

Like I said in the other one. I commend Uncle Todd for doing a great job on Skyrim, like I commend Michael Bay for doing a great Transformers Movie.

This is something you should have posted in the other thread.

Since you already posted this in the other thread, there's no need to post it again in a thread of its own.
