I received a PM from FlitZ_FretZ which noticed his excellent work of http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3423.

FlitZ_FretZ adds new models/textures for cooker, pot and portable mat. Those new models are really excellent, and FlitZ_FretZ generously offer his excellent model/texture permission :)

I will add those new model / textures in next update. In addition, I am writing simple customizations guide and base customize esp for people who want to make compatibility plugin with other food/water change mods.

Thanks to FlitZ_FretZ for his excellent work :)

First- Great mod I love it dearly, it makes Fallout 3 playable

Bug report- I have found what appears to be a potential bug and have been able to reproduce it in game. It seems if you have a medical brace and Bandages in your inventory and choose the option "apply medical brace/bandage" it will automatically default to the medical brace and apply that first. However if you have two injured limbs you can choose this option again and it will apply a medical brace even if you have none in your inventory and once you choose to remove you will end up with multiple braces in your inventory. I have injured myself critically both arms, one leg, body and head and been able to apply a medical brace to each limb with only one brace. when I removed all braces I had 5 braces.

This could cause save game bloating and I just wanted to report this asap :coolvaultboy:

Thanks for reporting :)

I changed current code, condition check. Update is available in FO3Nexus.

Currently, when you apply brace, code will remove medical brace after certain time. Script doing something before removing brace, and it cause 5 to 10 sec delays. During this certain period, script recognize PC still have Medical Braces. Also, there were some condition check issue.

Thanks again

I've been using RI-Primary needs and like it a lot! didn't have any problems withit at all -- until recently. I changed the valure of TIMESCALE, using the console, to 12 -- that way one hour real time = 12 hours game time (vanilla is 30). Now during play my character no longer gets sleepey, hungry or thirsty. Howeer, he does if he "waits"; also gets hungry and thirsty when he sleeps. Any fix for this?

Forgot to say that was version 1.2.1

I now see that there is a newr version -- am downloading ver 2.0.3

will give that a try

Saw in the RI Primary Needs Readme that you took off the "awakening" effect from the colas -- why? Now the colas are no better than dirty water, except for the 1 food point, whcih doesnt see much. Any way of putting it back in, maybe making it a config option?

Kathrin, this is a superb mod! Really takes you to the Wasteland.
I notice that in the latest version you can make your own Stimpaks from Healing Powder etc but the document with the mod doesn't really explain how to combine the items to make the stimpak.
Also, there is mention of certain plants around the wasteland that can be used for ingredients. Where and how do you obtain them. Cheers Kath. Keep up the good work. :)

Just wanted to bump this up because I'd really like to know how to make Stimpaks. I hope Kathrin hasn't abandoned this mod because it's a cracking piece of work.

This mod is one of my favorite mods of all time! I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and the more I use it, the more I like it.
I have two issues which I'm struggling with that maybe someone here who's used this for awhile might be able to help me with.

1. How can I fix up a limb that isn't crippled. Say it's almost crippled but not quite. It still damages my aim and such which is why sometimes I wish it would get crippled just so I could heal it with a bandage, lol. There's got to be a better way that I'm missing. Anyone know what I can do to heal a not-yet-crippled limb besides sleeping? It would definitely be a little hard to be able to only heal yourself in the direst straits, but perhaps that it a limitation. Anyone know?

2. Along the same line, I notice that sleeping CAN cure non-crippled limbs (on the default END sleep/heal settings) but I've never seen any crippled limbs get healed with sleep. Is this correct and by design that you can only heal crippled limbs by a doctor or a bandage?

3. What can be done with Empty Syringes that I find everywhere in replacement of Stimpaks around the gameworld. When I drop these on the ground, they tend to disappear. I've never found any of the ingredients (xander root, etc) mentioned in the readme, either so I have no idea if I've been missing something crucial. Is there a way to make use of empty syringes? I have read the manual but, it's a little unclear about this aspect and as I mentioned, I've never found any actual ingredients mentioned in the readme.

If anyone can shed light on these questions I would be most, most, most grateful. I finally feel like I'm getting the hang of this mod and, the frustration has eased and been replaced with enjoyment of the new aspect this puts on role-playing and realism.
Thanks a lot to Kathrin for this amazing mod, and thanks to anyone who can lend me some advice!

Hey LadyDeadlock, I just noticed this post and saw that no one ever replied. You're perhaps have figured this out on your own by now, but just in case:

1. How can I fix up a limb that isn't crippled. Say it's almost crippled but not quite. It still damages my aim and such which is why sometimes I wish it would get crippled just so I could heal it with a bandage, lol. There's got to be a better way that I'm missing. It would definitely be a little hard to be able to only heal yourself in the direst straits, but perhaps that it a limitation. Anyone know?

You have can use the Heal Limbs (Minor) [after clicking on , under Aids], you can't do this while in combat, and you need a Medicine skill of 40+, and a Bandage Pack, and a Stimpak.

2. Along the same line, I notice that sleeping CAN cure non-crippled limbs (on the default END sleep/heal settings) but I've never seen any crippled limbs get healed with sleep. Is this correct and by design that you can only heal crippled limbs by a doctor or a bandage?

Yes, the default is that crippled limbs are not healed while sleeping

You need to use this with the Home Infirmary, then you can create a Stimpak from Pure Water, Healing Powder and Empty Hypodermic; and You can create a Super Stimpak from Nuka-Cola, Healing Powder, Mutfruit and Empty Hypodermic [from the table at the bottom of RI-ReadME]

As a side note, for Wound effects, you have to enable within the config . . . but enabling this will make the game much more difficult, as you'll use a LOT more first aid.

I had no problem with the backpack textures. I would guess that they are in the RI_Core.bsa (you might want to make sure that the bsa is in your FO3 Data folder).

The .bsa is right where it's suppose to be. If I equip the backpack it reduces the weight like it's suppose to but I cannot use it as a sleeping bag which is the main reason I got this mod.

Any other suggestions?

Try deactivating it in FOMM and then activate it again (that will reinstall the files).

Perhaps it's your load order (although that shouldn't make textures disappear, unless another mod is removing them), RI has to load pretty late. My load order is posted http://amito.freehostia.com/Fallout/FO-mods-order.htm

I bought some other stuff that Primary Needs puts in the game. None of them had textures - they all give the (!) sign.

It tried Toggling Invalidation in the FMM in case the ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated didn't do its job. The problem is still there.

Does this mod require any specific version of the game?

I've only used RI-Primary needs along with Real Injuries. But I used it with both the first patch (1.1) and the last patch (1.6) and never had any texture problems. At this point, I would recommend uninstalling RI-PN. From the Readme:
1.) Proceed "Uninstall" from Config menu, then save current progress.
2.) * After uninstall precess finished. Check EFF screen, and make sure PC has no penalties.
3.) Disable RI_PNeeds2S.esp from Launcher
4.) If you are not using any other RI mods, disable RI_Core.esm from launcher. Then delete RI_Core.esm and RI_Core.bsa

And then do a clean save (load a saved game and make a new save to a new save slot.).

Then download the RI-Primary Needs again (just incase your previous download was corrupt).
Reinstall the mod and load your clean save.

How come there's no RI_Core.bsa file in the latest download of Real Injuries? According to the readme there should be one and that makes sense as there's no texture/meshes folder included in the download...

edit: Ah, it seems that the author only included the RI_Core.bsa in the Primary Needs mod, but not in the Real Injuries mod, even though it was said that Primary Needs wasn't required (though recommended) for Real Injuries to work. All is fine now. Seems the author (or did someone else post this thread?) hasn't been here since February though, so I guess that's not going to be officially corrected.
