Real life Daedric Dagger.

Wow... it's an EXACT copy of the daedric dagger. Same shape, features, design intricacies, blade curvature, even the grip carvings. The only difference is the color.... makes one wonder which came first - Morrowind, or Leviathan?... (I can't find any production dates on any of the available knives on the internet...)

Great. Thanks a lot guys... Owing to your subliminal peer pressure and insanely cool pics, I had a geek-spaz last night and found the daedric dagger replica (or inspiration, more likely) in new condition for only $21 on ebay, including shipping. It'll probably never be available again at that price, and I've played enough dagger-wielding agents... that I just couldn't pass it up. So, great, now I'll have to endure my wife making fun of me. But it will certainly be a worthy addition to my little geek shrine. I think I'll sell my viking sword replica on craigslist to recoup a few dollars, then I won't feel so bad...

Freshly bought on ebay, soon to be in my grubby hands:

edit: spelling

That Leviathan dagger really looks like the Daedric dagger! So much it can't be a coincidence. Good find!

Are there any other real life weapons that have been used as an inspiration by Bethesda? Or any other object. Anyone find a Limeware Platter looking just like the one in Census Office in MW? :P

Barely looks practical. Would be nearly impossible to conceal and unwieldy in a fight or skirmish. Give me a good switch blade pr cane dagger any day of the week.

Do they make Glock 19 15rnd magazines with an absorb-health feature? That's my choice. :)

But seriously... got my daedric dagger from eBay today. Embarrassed and thrilled at the same time. Obviously, it won't have the mottled red-and-black pattern than only comes from having the tortured soul of an otherworldly beast captured within... but it'll make a nice addition to my geek-lifestyle shrine! Maybe print out a Morrowind map, print a transcript of this thread.... hah. Too much.

Snapped a pic - I know the lighting is terrible, and you can't even tell the handle is swirling raspberry/black.... but at least the runes and shape o the blade stand out.... I'll snap some more pics when I'm not so tired....

My thoughts exactly. I'd keep it by my Vvardenfell and Cyrodiil maps!

Can't find my damned Vvardenfell map. I have my Cyrodiil one right here though, but it's pretty ironic as I absolutely hate Oblivion...
