One out of every 5 scientists? Where did you get that statistic?

Unless it's 1 out of ever one million scientist, I'm gonna off myself tonight.

I wonder what it is going to be like that day... riots? massive last-day-of-your-life party? massive last-day-of-your-life riot party?

I think it will be mostly riots the day before.

And the day after I think it will be mostly riots.

It's insane to think someone with an average job has floundered $20,000 of his wages on a deposit for his whole family, especially when he was saving for a house. Instead, he's bought himself a probably unnecessary contingency plan. Still, whatever puts your mind at rest I suppose. When nothing happens in 2012 his wife is gonna be pissed.

If I was incredibly wealthy I'd have one of these built though, useful for all sorts of emergencies. It's just sort of cool to have your own nuclear proof bunker though, it would rock!

Fear is a great way to make money... I wish I could market something that plays off of peoples fears.

I'm assuming that they would have a finite amount of resources such as food and eventually would have to come out. Feeding 950 people takes a lot of food.

Some people can be so silly. I honestly don't understand how some people believe the world is going to end in 2012.

They tell me: "well if you look at the facts and connect the dots"
I respond: "What facts? there are none!"

And what is this Apocalypse?

Apparently, the word Apocalypse only means "The Fall of the Curtain". I read this in one of Bernard Werber's book.

One out of every 5 scientists say that 2012 will happen.

But 2012 will happen... in a few months! :whistling:

All I know is that all throughout the year of 2012 I'm gonna be extra wary for rioters and looters. Ain't getting nothing from my house without a fight.

Even if the Apocalypse does happen, I would rather die than live underground knowing that my species is nearly extinct and that the world as I once knew it is dead. Not to mention the threat of people under there going mad, I mean think of all the bad things that could happen from that! Oh, and how much of what they put in there is renewable? What happens when you run out of food?

Why can't we just burn all the curtains and be done with it?

On the eve of the supposed end of the world I'm going to camp out side the vault until they decide to send somebody out, and when they do I will use my speech skills to convince them I am their god.

I'll join you, how about I bring hot dogs and you'll handle drinks?

What happens when you run out of food? You venture outside and take your chances there, or you start killing off and eating people.

I've always thought trying to survive in a post apocalyptuic environment would be an exciting test for myself, even if it would be grueling and I would likely die almost immediately, it'd be a better way to go than to starve, go mad or be killed and eaten in some bunker.

Uhm... the chick on CNN just said that the investments into these underground bunkers skyrocketed after the Japanese earthquake...

O.o

Because I really want to be living underground if there's chance of a world ending earthquake

Guys, the sad part is when you realize that this isn't the nadir. Panic will just get worse from here.

Everybody dies eventually.
You're just going to delay your death in a vault. Hell, it might speed it because of insanity.

And what is this Apocalypse?
Is it an instant population wipe out or gradual chaos?

Its a scam just like Y2K and a bunch of other Bull[sensored] theories.

THIS!
They're just using fear to scam people.
