That may well be, but real men are still Warriors!

Also, if mages are winners and warriors are men, what are thieves/assassins?

Real PEOPLE don't solve conflicts with violence. :)

However, I will point out that melee warriors of any kind are pretty much helpless once they are dead before they knew what hit them.

Oh, and the idea of pure casters running out of magicka is pretty hilarious. No pure caster would ever be caught in that position, after all (with the possible exception of having magicka drained in some fashion outside of their control... but the same problem exists for melee warriors, so whoopee)

What happens if you're both?

"Pfft, Warriors and Mages acting all high and mighty until I electrocute them then slice off each of their appendages prior to calling them "The Black Knight" at which point they'll grow depressed, merely sitting on their stumps until they bleed to death. But then I'll use a healing-spell to keep them alive as long as possible just to drag the situation out and make it more humiliating/hilarious."

Although my personal preference is to play as a mage with heavy destruction and conjuration spells, I'm playing now as a sword and shield warrior and finding combat a little more intense and complex than it was being a mage. Of course I don't think many players can avoid using at least a little magic from time to time, no matter what their primary specialty is.

My Warrior or Thief never used a Spell, as well as my Mage never used a Sword. :shocking: All is working fine with the Help of some Potions. :)

You best hope those warriors don't have the light armour 50% stamina perk or the restoration respite perk... yeah some warriors train in restoration...

I suspect that you are in the very small minority on that one. I was speaking in generalities, and of course there are always exceptions. IMHO I think the vast majority of players opt for some kind of hybrid battle mage approach, with some being more warrior than mage and vice versa.

I do agree though that restoration doesn't work quite as well as potions in the heat of battle.
