Real-World Chinese Exoskeletons, and what about Fallout?

Here's some fun bit of news - http://www.popsci.com/updated-chinese-exoskeletons-could-one-day-go-combat?src=http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1527162-real-world-chinese-exoskeletons-and-what-about-fallout/SOC&dom=fb

It's happening! :P

I'd really like to see some Chinese Power Armor variants; something different than the American T-xx or even Enclave versions, and something different enough to justify giving it attribution as Chinese Power Armor.

Yes, in the lore, the Chinese proper never developed Power Armor in the pre-war era, and the Stealth Suits, which were just jumpsuits with combat armor were fielded in response to American Power armor.

Also, however, we have the Shi in SanFrancisco that were descendants of Chinese submariners that landed after the bombs fell.

The Shi were the only ones technologically advanced enough to restore broken Power Armor to working condition, and even upgrade old Power Armor.

We've seen a Chinese Submarine in the concept art. Perhaps we could see something like a Chinese faction, similar the Shi that isn't an automatic enemy like the feral ghoul Chinese seen in F3? Perhaps even Chinese Power Armor? :)

maybe some sort of stealth power armor a bit lighter built and less durable that the American walking tank power armors but they can sneak.

I can see some nutcase here in the forums accusing Bethesda of giving ideas to the Chinese. :D

Nah, dont see it this time. The Chinese who infiltrated America kept it on the downlow. Their orders were probably to become sleeper agents until hositilities progressed. The ones you find in FO3: Are either dead in a detention camp, dead in small little bunkers or ghouls in some factories. The Chinese decided to progress down the path of building bioweapons. The plague was by them to a degree and the whole FEV process was started to created a level of immunity when the Chinese released their next bioweapon.

The Chinese also invested heavily in Stealth technology, I doubt that any of that would be considered Power Armor which was a distinctly American thing.

I think its definetly something to keep strong in FO4. If we do encounter most places where we find Chinese Commandos (again unlikely considering the Strategic value of Washington DC) then they are gonna be skeletons or ghouls.

Meh...

Call me when someone starts showing off a Metal Gear.

Edit: Obviously I think this is cool, but we're still a long ways away from anything like what we're dreaming of.

Yet, there's the Shi in San Francisco, who landed in a submarine after the bombs, and we've seen a Chinese submarine in the concept art which would lend plausibility to something similar as the Shi happening in Boston, any time AFTER the bombs, when there really wasn't any government around to stop them.

Capturing a BoS, or Enclave Power Armor, and improving on it for the technologically advanced Shi in SanFranciso was done.

It wouldn't be unlikely for the same to occur on the East coast in Boston too.

Here you go:

Upper central background. Notice the garlands around the very Red Chinese flag with submarine silhouette.

Hey, that's neat. I wonder what role they'll play? They could not even be around anymore. It would be pretty nifty to go on a mission beneath Boston Harbor to help a faction raise the submarine up for repairs or something like that, similar to the Boomers and their plan.

Thanks for the link.
