The assult rifle in FO 3 was a g3 not fn fal but as like i said earlier any bullpup rifle would be good cuz this was their beggining early 50's to 60's

It's not really a gun, but if we're in a more tribal area I would like to see bows and arrows and throwing spears, to just y'know bring more variety to the weapon options. Though, when I think about it I don't really know what skill they would go under. :banghead:
They would make the new skill called primitive maybe?

Any guns used today would be obsolete in the time period of the upcoming fallouts. Guns like the M16A3 would svck compared to the tech of 2077, by then there would likely be laser weapons. Armor would make most conventional ammo like the standard NATO round useless

R91 assault rifle (assault rifle of fallout 3) was the standard assault rifle of the US armed forces.

Type 93 assault rifle (chinese assault rifle) was the standard assault rifle of the chinese armed forces.

Energy weapons were basically experimental.

Considering the Fallout Universe's Federal law enforcement group, Bureau of Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco, Firearms, and Lasers (their equivalent to our ATF,) included Lasers in it's name, I'd say energy weapons weren't "basically experimental" by the time of Great War, but were rather a common, if not, blooming form of firearms.

I like how new Vegas was all western like and the guns showed that. I want the guns and armor to be affected by the area we are in. I dont want a lever gun in the middle of new york and a Glock in lousianna.

Experimental was bad word choice, but energy weapons would still be in their "infancy". And he was saying how normal firearms are useless now, which is not true.

there should be multiple guns within an ammo type and not just the one and a unique. They have to look different , completely, and have different stats. Not to many but maybe 3 differnet guns. Ex. 44mag thats single action and strong, a double action thats nit as strong and a unique one of either.

I have no idea why you quoted me, but I agree anyways.

They should definitely add an AK-47 and an SKS to use a 7.62mm round.

Sry i thought i just replied not quoted, im on my phone.

OT: im afraid if they do an sks(my profile picture) they'll do it wrong. A its not 7.62x39 its 7.62x54r. Minor difference yes but to me thats big. Plus how would they involve the stripper-clip and if your thinking of a deattatchable magazine thats a SVT40.

The sks is NOT x54r it's x39. And you CAN get detachable mags for it.

Everything I've seen has it in 7.62x39, and the stripper clip would just be an animation. And there are versions that have a detachable clip, but I don't know when they started doing that.

Sorry, but you're wrong on that. All SKS rifles are chambered in 7.62x39, not 7.62x54R. I've seen enough of them to know, plus there's always google that will show you you're mistaken. SVT-40s on the other hand, are chambered in 7.62x54R, like the Mosin-Nagant rifle.

A gun I'd like to see is the old Winchester Model 1905 blow-back rifle (which I just so happen to have "inherited" one). Then we could have a rifle that would actually be chambered in the .32 caliber cartridge (if it's brought back, if not then .35 WSL would do,) and this time not make it so damn WEAK. At the very least, it could have been more powerful than the 5.56 cartridge. :stare:

congrats on the inheritation and yes we need more lever/bolt rifles and many new calibers plus more ammo types. Especialy for shotguns. Plus if they can put in a 3rd caliber shotgun maybe a 16gauge. Maybe even an automatic'hint hint'

Some more WW2 weapons I think. Perhaps the Sten gun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sten_gun)?
