I still believe that an smg inspired by an Uzi variant, but brought up in tech and design into the 21st century of 1950's retro-future would be a good idea. I also think it a bit lame that all most smg's are handled like pistols. A mini-uzi could be, as it's the size of a large pistol; but the 10mm smg IMO should be a 2 hand weapon.

A bolt-action pistol.
Yes, you read that correctly.

The BAR with a larger magazine. Also a LOT less spray.

The amount of spray a BAR, or anything automatic, should really depend on one's strength. If you're just of average strength, then you'll get an average amount of sprayed bullets, and the strongest you'll get the least amount and most will have hit the target.

Would anyone be comepletely opposed to a 14.5mm Anti-Tank Rifle? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PTRS-41

I was thinking a kind of King Kong rifle that could turn a Deathclaw into a smear on the wall, but firing it left you dazed and confused, maybe even a little injured? This instead of that Anti-Material Rifle.

Stationed weapons like mounted machine guns in guard towers. It bugged the crap out of me that not a single machine gun was mounted in any tower of any NCR post. Not the war camps, not the Ranger Outposts, not even along the wall at Camp McCarran.

I wouldn't mind the Lahti being added to the game.

9mm m1911, (Some revolver... I was never a fan of them) LMG- m249 SAW

The M249 was already in New Vegas.

The 9mm Pistol is a Browning Hi-Power, which is John Browning's advancement on the M1911 design, so there's your "9mm M1911".

The LMG was a mixture of the M60 and M249, but to me that means neither gun should be in the next game.

M60 is in 7.62mm, unlike that thing we got in NV.

I'll take any rockets that fire a two blast stage in which releases molten copper onto any persons within a concealed area.

I know, that's why I said it was already in there. I just didn't bother with the whole M60 part. :)

The Light Machine-gun, is a combination of the two. It fires the 5.56mm round like the SAW, but it has some M60 traits as well when you look at it.

If VATS targeting makes a dramatic improvement based on draw distance I want some 60mm mortars.

I hope the bullets don't become intangible after a certain distance like in Skyrim. I literally watched 3 arrows go straight thru a bandit at Mistwatch, what the F00P is the use of a Zoom Function if targets outside of normal draw distance can't be hit anyways?

On Topic: A bolt action rifle that doesn't look like it went thru a wood chipper would be nice as well.

No it's not. It is the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FN_Minimi which I will give you is what the m249 is based upon.

He's right KotW, cosmetically the LMG in NV is a cross between the FN minimi (which IS the M249 SAW for all intended purposes. I only deployed twice with the damn weapon) and the M60. You see the M60 parts mostly in the forward furniture. So I think it's safe to say that the LMG was inspired by both ( not to say that Sawyer even substantiated the claims when he came on to this forum and stated flat out.

M60 ----> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M60_machine_gun

M249 ---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M249

NV LMG ---> http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Light_machine_gun

Please guys, don't turn this thread into another pissing match of misinformation.

Yeah, like I said, the differences are simply cosmetic. Functionally, it seems exactly like the minimi (minus the NATO magazine compatible side mag well.)

Another weapon/firearm I woudn't object to is a crossbow pistol. Silent like the silenced .22lr pistol (ruger mk III) but does more damage and the bolts have a chance of being retrievable; on the flip side it's a one shot weapon and takes forever to reload in comparison and an advanced holdout weapon ( sneak + 50ish )

They could just bring back the dart gun and replace the dart with a bolt. I would rather have a fullsize crossbow though, with different bolts. Of course animation for it would be hard if it's one that you need to use your whole body to reload...

Not just the wood, but also the tube underneath the barrel is a M60 feature. Also the charging handle, resembles more of the M60 style as well.
