Realism Mode in Skyrim?

No, but you can do 'Realism mode' outside your house.

I have a sword...
Let's remove swords from the game since I can cut things with a sword in real life!
Bows, daggers, axes and maces can be removed also. ^_^
I think that we should only keep magic and dragons since I can't do that outside my hose. :spotted owl:

OT:
Unfortunately, no.
I really hope that someone will make an expansion like FO:NV for FO3 and include it.
It would also be more than welcome in a patch or DLC if possible.

You want realism in a game filled with magic, beastpeople, dragons and what not?

Hi there!
You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

It's about selling the idea of living in a fantasy world...people eat, people sleep, people drink to survive, them's just the facts. The more you can relate the the world, the more real it becomes. And that's a big point in a game that focuses on full immersion and choices like Skyrim and all TES games (and fallout for that matter). It just seems like it would be such a simple thing to add, and it's a choice, no one NEEDS to do it, but for those of us who appreciate that degree of immersion, it gives more variety.

Pretty much. Isn't this argument a little tired?

"Hey, this game has Magic, and therefore should be completely divorced from reality in every conceivable way!"

Yeah, sure thing, tyke! *pats gently on the head*

WAIT! Whereas it was confirmed that there isn't any 'hardcoe mode', you CAN remove the HUD by taking the opacity down to zero! BINGO, no HUD! :D

Hey, let's remove gravity and let everyone just glide around however they want!

What? It's a fantasy game, it doesn't have to make sense! o.O

Is that on the record or just your opinion? And if it is on the record, can you tell me where to look to find it? I'd like to see if there's a reasoning...just curious

I am sure you noticed people saying it was not confirmed to be in, but where we heard it was Bulletproof Pixel Radio, where they had a interview (live) with Pete Hines, and one of the questions was a hardcoe mode or similar, which Pete answered no.

The hardcoe mode in New Vegas was the most brilliant part of it. Some games allow the player to eat or drink as they want... But VERY few games, actually require the player to eat, drink and sleep in order to function... It added a whole other level of realism to the game, which made it that much more enjoyable. And the fact that hardcoe mode was optional, meant, that it did no harm to players who didn't want it. As far as I'm concerned, Skyrim will be a major let down, if it doesn't have a hardcoe option, like New Vegas.
