For some reason, when I tried to update RLO to 4.0.8.02 (I've never updated this mod before), I started Skyrim and it CTD after the Bethesda Logo. I followed the mod author’s instructions (which is recommended to install the update manually) but I thought that if I manually installed the update, NMM would still think that the mod is out-of-date. So here’s what I did below:
#1 Manually pasted & replaced the files in the data folder (as instructions said).
#2 Used NMM to install update (because NMM says that RLO is still out-of-date) and said ‘yes to all’ on ‘replace existing files’ which I knew would replace the files that I just manually copied.
#3 Uninstalled update from NMM & tried to manually copy them to the data folder, again (because author recommends it) which means I ‘copied & replaced’ the files again.
#4 Used NMM again to install the update and said ‘yes to all’ on ‘replace existing files’ which would replace the files that I again, just manually copied.
#5 After Skyrim CTD, I decided to uninstall & delete the update and do a fresh install of the previous RLO version that I was using with all of the required esps. However; I’m still getting CTDs.
I don’t know if/what I’ve done wrong, but I have Update, Skyrim, Dawnguard, Hearthfires & Dragonborn.esm with all of their Unofficial Patches in the correct load order, I have all of the same esps that I had before I updated the mod. So why isn’t it working?
Any help would GREATLY appreciated!
