Yes it does, you don't need a mod for those sorts of things. You may however want a mod that makes hardcoe a bit tougher, as it's pretty lame out of the box. The first time I tried it I went two days straight without getting a single sleep penalty. It was the same sort of thing with eating and drinking, the default values are far too easy IMO. I'm afraid I can't point you to a mod like that as I just made my own, and haven't uploaded it.

They're are quite a few. If you're looking for something that is simple in concept but tons of fun and adds a lot of things to the game, then I suggest Project Nevada.

It completely revamps a lot of the games mechanics; not just the needs.

If you're like me and want something extremely challenging and complex then I suggest http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34759/?. It is brutal but awesome. Oh, also don't use both at the same time.

I have never used the one for Skyrim but I assume so. It wouldn't make sense that he would do a bad job for New Vegas and then do a good job for Skyrim; considering New Vegas came out nearly two years before Skyrim did.

I've been using http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/37536/? with http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/37538/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D37538%26preview%3D&pUp=1 and find it works a treat. Just set and forget and it feels seamlessly integrated.

I just had a look at Imp's Realistic Needs and it looks like it's quite comprehensive and well done. Personally though, I find his mods to be overly complicated. I tried it for awhile in Fallout 3 and ended up getting somewhat annoyed at the complexity. There were just too many variables to keep track of IMO. I prefer something simpler, you eat something and are less hungry etc. Having to keep track of protein and carbohydrate intake etc. might be more realistic, but from a game play perspective all those things can get rather annoying after awhile. The default hardcoe mode works well enough, it just needs some tweaks to make it more demanding. It's easy enough to do yourself if you're at all inclined to take a look at the GECK.
