i still cant believe it.
2015.
no brightness slider.
Realistically? no.
You're best shot is with a user made mod. I hear there's going to be mods for consoles this time around. I wonder how that will play out?
There's no brightness or gamma slider in this game? Previous Bethesda games have had them. This is incredible to me. (I haven't bought the game yet).
Skyrim or at least earlier games had it, know that most games have them.
Its an issue depending if you play in a bright room or during night.
Yes it was more important wit with the older monitors who was far less bright, has not seen an need for it in FO4
It hasn't really bothered me to be honest. But it is really, really weird. I can't remember the last time I played a game that didn't have a brightness slider.
I hadn't even noticed... I haven't felt the need to change the brightness... Audio I always change... Turn the music down... turn the dialogue up...
well as a matter of fact i had to stop playing because of 2 issues.
1) my game is so unspeakable dark that even during daytimes i have to turn on flashlight. Yes - i know, this is a contrast issue. But my point is, i like my contrast i've set from nvidia control panel. It works both for my desktop, and for all other games - and if not, other games give me the PRIVILEGE to adjust brightness as i see fit. I find it absurd and unpractical to change my overall brightness for only one game, when it works for all others. Am i entitled? well hell yeah i am. i payed 60$ and i cant even change brightness ! lol
ps. and to make matters worse why on earth they have disabled fgamma in fallout4prefs.ini? it worked for all previous games since morrowind!
2) [censored] hardcoded gamepad acceleration. again.
WHY? WHY?
WHO ON THIS PLANET LIKES ACCELERATION?
ON A [censored] GAMEPAD?
A lot of games do it now,. Thief was another.
Is it really that hart to adjust your TV brightness? Really?
I agree. This should really be added. I am having so big issues with my screen which is generally quite bright and colorful and all my other games and programs is perfect for it but when i play Fallout i then must lower brightness using my screen or my eyes bleed....and then when i dont play fallout i must change it back....dafuq Bethesda.
Maybe they wanted you to play it at this brightness, it's not supposed to be a dark game.
I understand what you mean. At daytime it should be bright and it really is and i like it however i cannot see why they would not add an in game brightness slider (Like the "Move the slider till the icon barely can be seen")
Most people have different screens today and use different calibrations. That is the reason why so many other games has that slider so that the game would be represented the way that the developer intended on most screen calibrations.
If i use my standard calibration it is so bright that my eyes actually hurt which makes the game unplayable for me. Since i want to play the game i have to manually change my screen setting which means that all the other games i play is too dark and i have to change it manually again when i stop playing.
This could easily be avoided with a simple in game brightness slider. I do not see any argument against having this too be honest. "Rant end"
They couldn't be bothered to add a checkbox to the Launcher to be able to disable Mouse Acceleration or a a textbox to be able to set FOV. Thus the PC community have to spend their time with manually editing INI files. So, what do you think?
Yes. Considering the brightness and colour settings are just right for everything else it's a pain having to adjust them just for one game then having to switch them back for TV and everything else.
