I installed this but sadly didn't install it as an OMOD. I am getting really slow framerates outside, especially around the Imperial City.
Re: your tips:
1. uGridDistantCount in the Oblivion.ini file is set to 25 by default. Lowering this to 20 or even 15 will provide a dramatic improvement.
Done- set to 15
2. Use Oblivion Stutter Remover. It will help reduce the impact of loading the extra resources as you change cells.
Installed.
3. Install and configure Streamline to manage fog distance, and if ncecessary, set up the FPS manager too.
Installed, but curious how I setup the FPS manager in it. I have the Streamline.ini open and changed 0 to 1 for FPS smoothing. FPS enhancer is already at 1.
FPS settings are 50 highest and 26 lowest.
Curious if folks have a suggested min & max fog distance setting here (I changed 0 to 1 for SLv.ExtremeClipping):
===================================================================================
; [Streamsight Settings] Refer to documentation for values
;===================================================================================
set SLv.MinDistanceFog to 30000 ; Min distance before fog starts (0%)
set SLv.MaxDistanceFog to 136000 ; Max distance before fog ends (100%)
set SLv.MinWaterFog to 0 ; Min distance before water fog starts
set SLv.MaxWaterFog to 2500 ; Max distance before water fog ends
;-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
set SLv.ExtremeClipping to 1 ; Turn on clipping behind distant fog?
; Gains FPS, but can cause some
; clipping of distant mountains
4. If you run Better Cities, try dropping the Imperial City VWD optional package they provide and re-run TES4LODGen.
I am running Better Cities, and I have just disabled the ImperialCityVWD.esp
5. If you're using any of the optional ESPs from RAEVWD, deactivate them and re-run TES4LODGen. The extra city architecture, especially at the Imperial City, can be harsh.
Done.
6. If you used the higher detail city walls and/or IC bridges, drop those.
I am using them- how do I remove these?
7. If you used the ships and shipwrecks, drop those.
None.
8. If none of that is enough, you may need to leave out all or part of the architecture folder entirely.
Because I have already instaled RAEVWD, what is the best way for me to remove part/all of the three Architecture folders (IC, Wilderness, City) and, if my frames are still slow, remove all of RAEVWD? I did make a backup of my vanilla Data folder, so are there specific folders I can repaste?
I am also running QTP3, Clocks of Cyrodiil, Better Cities, and Unique Landscapes, which I imagine also change the contents of similar meshes and textures folders.
Thanks for any advice folks can provide.
