I really don't like Neloth

Post » Sun Jan 12, 2014 11:34 am

I don't like him one bit. He is as condescending as the Thalmor, if not more. He may be a Telvanni Wizard-Lord and who knows how old, but he should at least have some form of manners. As soon as I was done with him, I made him unessential and this is how he sits in his little wooden tree-house now.

Of course Talvas didn't much appreciate the new state of Neloth, so he also ended up in the same state, although with all his limbs still attached.

This was a bit troublesome, tough, because now I have to polish my Daedric Battleaxe yet again. That Maven woman sure had some thick blood.

So you decapitated him because he did not show you good manners.

I think you need to step back and take a good, long look at yourself.

There is no law against not liking Neloth.

Personally he is one of my favourite NPC's, in my opinion he was really rescued from his appearance in Morrowind.

From being one of the worst Telvanni NPCs with one of the worst quests of the game to being one of the best of Dragonborn with some really sweet quests.

I don't always decapitate people. Sometimes I just fry them with some thunderbolts.

Mate, you need to step back and relize that this is just a game.

You guys relize I could just as easily resurrect him and Talvas, and set both essential again and act like nothing happened?

I feel indifferent. I can just as easily resurrect him. Heck, I can even thrall him should I wish. I have the power of console commands at my hand. And the CK for those who are specially protected..

I personally think out of all the "interesting" NPCs Bethseda tried to add in the DLC, Neloth is my favorite. He's actually how a wizard should be. His general curiosity about the world around him. He has some very funny lines too.

I don't know if this was scripted. I don't think it is because I can't get him to stay it again. But after you

Spoiler
get out of the Dwemer ruin with him. Miraak sends a dragon to kill you cause you're getting in his way. After, just standing around cause I have a dagger and this dragon decided it was going to fly around the whole entire fight. The dragon dies, lands in front of us. I'm taking his soul and Neloth says, "I'm going to have to see if I can get this back to my lab" or something along those lines. And my reaction was, "Good luck those dragon bones are kind of heavy"

Neloth kicks some major booty.

That's pretty much how I feel, I both hate and love his attitude equally....I just laugh it off as he has no idea who he's talking to yet clearly the OP gave him a much needed reality check :P

I resurrected him. I forgot I still had that Nchardak quest left and possibly some minor side-quest. After that, I'll either just leave him be in his wooden tree-home or leave him beheaded in a lake somewhere. I'm still undecided.

I guess I could let him live and just kill me some Thalmor.

You aren't mean to like him, he is extremely unlikeable after all.

He is a sociopathic mad sorcerer, a typical Telvanni Lord and quite a jerk.

We don't like him because he is nice, friendly and polite, we enjoy his entertainly awesome brand of crazy and utter lack of empathy and his extreme callousness in his pursuits of unlocking the secrets of magic.

He is rude, condescending and audacious in his statements and actions.

A mix between Joseph Mengele and Sheogorath.

I loved Sheogorath in Shivering and he's quite alright in Skyrim as well. Gave me a few good laughs.

So Brelyna Maryon and he are both in House Telvanni. How are they related to each other, if they are at all?

Same here! :D

I also love him in Skyrim.

It is amusing to hear the references he makes, because that is exactly what my character did and would act as a tribute to his beloved Madgod.

It is heartwarming in a twisted way.

Obviously.

He has so much more content in Shivering Isles after all.

Btw, love the pic and handle. Final Fight ftw!

Oh, everyone should attack him, especially in Godmode.

You may be in Godmode, but he is the Madgod and this is his Isles.

Just brilliant.

I miss Haskill as well.

Godmode is only a small portion of the power one wields when using the console. ^^

Being of the same House doesnt mean they're related, its just like a membership in a guild. i doubt they ever met each other given how young she is compared to him.
