I really dont want motor runner's helm how can I sell, drop : Fallout: New Vegas

I would really like to get rid of motor runners helm I do not need it anymore I have done the turn in for Ncr rep and am unable to get rid of this cursed peice of crap. I cannot load the Dead Money addin due to the glitch as well. I would really appreciate if someone could patch this.
