I'm looking for an armor mod that will make the game feel new, is there one out there?

How would one armor mod make the game feel new? I can link you to separate armor mods. Then there's always FOOK2.

Every time I try to download FOOK2 I get errors also I find single armors to be refreshing and get me into the game again.

You could try http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5424. It allows you to take pieces of armors already in the game to mix and match them. It also adds a few new armors that still fit into the Fallout universe. For example, you can take the shoulder pad of the Raider Blastmaster gear and wear it over a Merc Grunt Outfit. Or you could wear the Merc Veteran Outfit mask and scarf with a Regulator Duster. There are many different possibilities.

It's pretty much all just gameplay effects, very little visual impact, but it definitely makes power armor feel different.
