Any one have any suggestions? I a ma huge History buff and WW2 is my favorite topic in history. Lately I have been really craving a good WW2 game. I am thinking about picking up Company of heroes 2. So whether it be FPS,RTS or some other strange genre of WW2 game throw it at me!

Some of the old Medal of Honor series and Call of Duty 1-3 (also Finest Hour and Big Red One) are good WWII games.

Hey, another History buff

when it comes to WWII games, the first Company of Heroes game okay... never played the second though..

My Absolute favorite WWII game though has to be the first "Close Combat" game from the mid 90s, i love that game so much, its the game that made me fall in love with the RTS genre..

EDIT: finding a copy of the first Close Combat game will be very difficult.. but if you ever run across it at a yard sale or Pawn shop, i suggest you give it a try

http://store.steampowered.com/app/15210/ is the best WW2 game ever.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/15200/ isn't the second best but it's pretty good.

Brothers in Arms series. Very good tactical shooter, and very gruesome. Pretty good story and characters.

Besides that, there is Red Orchestra and Rising Storm. Both part of the same series of WWII games from Tripwire Interactive and both multiplayer focused, only difference being Red Orchestra takes in the European theater (specifically in Russia) and Rising Storm taking place in the Pacific theater. Both do a decent at capturing realism, especially in regards to the weapons.

I have played Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood and enjoyed it thoroughly. Which one would be the next game in the series? I have been looking at Rising Storm, but I am more interested in Single Player honestly.

I am seeing a lot of pretty old game recommendations, want to make sure it isn't just Nostalgia talking lol.
