Really looking forward to launch!

I was happy to participate in this weekend's beta event. It was the first one I was invited to... only a few weeks after pre-ordering the game. And the beta served to answer pretty much all of the questions I had about the game.

I got to fiddle around with the Character Creation kit. TONS of options I'm not typically used to seeing in MMOs. I pretty much left most of the the settings at the default, and only tweaked the face, hair, eyes, height, and body type. The rest was just lost on me, but I'm sure there's plenty of people who like it.

I got to see the starter island of the faction I've chosen to go with (Aldmeri Dominion). And I really liked pretty much everything about it. Quests were easy to find and follow. The quest tracking is superb, and I never felt lost or wondered what I was supposed to do.

I got to fiddle around with combat and see how classes are built. I'm playing a nightblade. Combat definitely takes some getting used to. It's not your standard MMO with locking on targets and activating abilities. It feels much more fresh and involved. No lazy combat.

I got to get a head start on crafting. This was one of my main reasons for wanting to get in the beta... so now at launch, I'll be able to jump right into it without the learning curve other players might experience. Hopefully, it will give me a head-start on the crafting game.

I found the skyshards... now I won't have to worry about missing them at launch. I can run through the quests and grab them as I go.

I think once the game launches I'll be able to get through the starter islands in an hour tops... completing the quests and working on crafting.

I look forward to seeing all of you at launch. The beta has confirmed the game to be pretty much everything I was hoping it would be, and more. This is going to be a fun game! FOR THE QUEEN!

I liked the fact from what I seen the ESO was going to use puzzles, and other creative ideas that were similar to Skyrim. From what I experienced the players were friendly more along the lines of Guild Wars 2 then WoW gamers. I got my toon to level 5, and looking forward to the release. I also got thru the game pretty quick 1-2 hrs to get to level 5, and that was messing around.

I hope people stop comparing this game to WoW. To me WoW does not set the standard for MMO's. It was certainly a great game in it's day, but I am one of those players who is looking to move on.

Sadly, it seems all the whiners are getting the attention, and not enough topics like these on the forums.
