I really need some help.. :(

Hello everyone, i am in need of some serious help.

You see, this game keeps crashing on me, i can't even get past the opening level (inside the submarine) or it already crashes. Sometimes i make it outside the submarine and it crashes on me when Alcatraz looks around.

I have tried registry clean-ups, old and new drivers (currently beta 275.50 beta nvidia), re-installed, added it to my anti-virus exception list (using Microsoft Security Essentials) but nothing seems to work!

I haven't tried toning down any graphic settings because my system should be able to handle this game fully maxed without to much trouble. My GPU isn't overheating either, max temp is 60C and my CPU maxes at 45C.

My spec:
Windows 7 64-bit home-premium
8 GB DDR3 RAM from G.Skill
MSI GTX 570
675 Watt Thermaltake PSU
Intel i7-2600k

I really want to play this game since i have both Crysis and Crysis: Warhead, can play it fully maxed with good FPS too, but these games randomly crash too! Every other game that i own is fine, it only seems to crash on Crytek's game's. :(

Please help me.. :(

P.S. : The crash goes like this: freezes for 1 second, screen goes black, sound continues, i ctrl+alt+del, see that crysis 2 stopped responding, close it down.

This is the black screen with sound still playin' bug, many of us including me had this problem after 1.9
If you go back a good few pages to about june 26th to about july 2nd on this forum you'll probably find the solution, i can't remember how we fixed it but i believe we upped voltages on our GPUs.

Thanks for your reply, i am at my wits end. :(

So this is a pretty common thing then? And isn't upping voltages on your GPU a bit risky?
Awaiting more reply's, will try to find that thread in the meantime. :)

There are many threads on the subject, we all managed to sort it so i don't believe it's a biggie, also there is the Crysis forum on Steam, it's a lot smaller than this one so you may find the solution there too.
Good Luck, you can use MSI Afterburner to monitor and OC your GPU.

Hey there, wanted to let you know the issue is solved, or at least so it would seem, played yesterday evening for 2 and an half hours straight without a single black screen crash. Seems upping the voltage on your GPU 2 or 3 notches seems to work. Still, this shouldn't happen though.

Really hope they will fix this in an upcoming patch, because when i tried to OC my card, the crashes appeared again, even with voltages upped.

So conclusion: Up your GPU voltage 2 or 3 notches and keep stock clock speeds, that should fix it. :)

On my evga 570 I downloaded evga E-LEET and used it to up my voltage no problem! Under the Graphics tab go down to advanced and there is a VGPU drop box. In there I just went up one notch to 1.01300 V and after a very small amount of play time it appears to be sufficient to continue running beyond the points where it used to crash.
NOTE: This was not an extensive test!
