Really poor FPS in Elsweyr Anequina mod!

Well unless there's something defective hiding behind or around it, I can't come up with any other reason. At least the palm trees aren't making it a further degradation on things now. Perhaps an NPC or creature in the area is causing undo stress and they happen to be in line with the arena?

For me I got a major slowdown when I looked through the central town area outside the Orcrest palace. I was confused by this because there didn't seem to be much rendering on screen...on my system polygon count makes almost zero difference, but the amount of NPCs and light sources totally cripples my machine, since that's mostly CPU driven (I have a E6850 3.15Ghz).

I have similar problems with large numbers of NPCs, but usually no issues with light sources. The open portion of Orcrest doesn't have excessive numbers of either one, but it DOES have the sandstorm weather which could be playing a part. I have noticed that the palm leaves on the trees stand out perfectly clear despite most other things being blended in to the storm effect like they should be. Perhaps this isn't even a mesh related issue?

I also noticed the leaves not being affected by the sandstorm. I assumed this was due to the Oblivion engine and its weird rendering of alpha textures. The sandstorm uses an alpha layer I assume and so do the leaves...this was my take on it.

And yes, the sandstorm hurt my performance. I did wonder if there was some way to optimize it...
