I had a little laugh when I read that last night, lol.

It isn't too much of a far stretch, though. The majority of the best objective/team-based shooters out there have been based on and popularized on the PC over the years. Nonetheless, was that note necessary? No. Funny? A bit. :tongue:

Don't know if this is real, but if it is: lol.

I guess this is just payback for a lot of bad console ports. (Yes, it is infuriating as a PC player to play on badly ported console games.)

I thought it was a pretty good laugh. For the most part, SD's past games have been mostly PC oriented, and alot of those coming to Brink have experienced them before. Console-wise, their games didn't do so well and the style is a bit less common. I doubt it was meant to insult console players, but yeah, wasn't actually something that needed to be said.

It's because of games like Call of Duty that Splash Damage did this. I find it hilarious and would only watch for the XP, even though I'm not gonna because I don't need a [censored] XP charity :thumbsup:

I see no problem.

It's a well-played joke about the (admittedly terrible) state of objective-based games on consoles.

Compare PC and console objective-based games.

First, look at the number of games that fit the bill. Even if you count multi-platform games once for each console they're on, the PC has more than XBox and PS3 combined, and the majority of the ones which are on all platforms have a larger playerbase on PC than both major consoles combined.

maybe if these clowns spent more time on actually testing the game over xbox live instead of adding in extra code for the PC version to insult the console gamers, it would actually WORK.

I started the tutorial and left immediately after, but if I remember correctly, I think it was the Get SMART series.

As a console player who's never really played a game like this, the videos were very helpful. Granted, I've been doing my research and had already seen these anyway, but 1000xp? Thanks, I'll get you next time. It's a very different game that a lot of people seem to be looking at the wrong way - you can't play it like COD or MOH, which is where I'm from (well, numbers 1 and 2). Anyway, comedy is truth and truth is funny. Seems like they pretty much saw this reception coming.
