Really They Are the Ones Causing you Problems

Post » Mon Feb 22, 2016 8:10 pm

Just spoke with my Settlers of my Red Rocket Sanctuary Hills area. Local Leader, so Red Rocket is more like a guard station posting place. Where Sanctuary is the settlement.

Anyway point is, my settlers tell me,

"We're having problems with super mutants at X location" me, okay.

Open up pip boy. Scrawl through my map. Find the location strung halfway across the map. Me,.....................really now they are causing you trouble?

This is a representation of my settlement with S, representing Settlement:

S...................................................

...............................................

................................................

.............................................

..............................................

............................................

................................................

...........................................

.........................................L

Seriously? Artair doesn't fast travel and I walk that road. That's a long stretch of road very far. The Super Mutants are really traveling that far for resources, wasting their resources for the very little resources we have?

Because that makes sense. The whole journey would cost them about the same amount of resources they stole, so in the end they would be getting nothing. This game sometimes.

I think the settlers have a bet to see how many times they can get you on a fool's errand. One of the settlers get kidnapped more than princess Peach, seriously, someone needs to put a lease on her already.

It's great when a settlement wants you to clear out a "nearby" settlement, then send you across Massachusetts to kill 3 ghouls. I swear they are playing pranks on you.

Which is hilarious because I am playing my character Artair. Who essentially is just rebuilding his life. Instead of doing the main quest, he watched his wife murdered and his son taken from him. Then the world is completely destroyed. He never came whole after the war to begin with. He doesn't want to go searching for Sean, because he doesn't know where to go look and f listening to a crazy lady who says Drugs can give her visions or something like that.

So Artair mostly just stays in his single settlement. He doesn't do anything with Preston because he doesn't want to get caught up in factions and that kind of [censored]. He's done being everyone's soldier. And instead. He's the resource [censored]. He goes out and collects resources for the settlement, comes back, makes repairs, and then goes off again to scrap. He doesn't fast travel, or I should say I don't use fast travel, and he walks long stretches of road.

He doesn't travel too too far without the resources he needs such as ammo and health packs, he makes himself.

So I know when someone is wasting resources coming down our way. There are some places Artair will not travel until he is well supplied because he'd be wasting resources otherwise.

I am almost to the point where I am going to dismiss my current companion (so I don't get a 'Preston hated that'), travel to a few settlements (ones with 2 or 3 settlers) and silently murder the settlers, just so I don't ever have to deal with another settlement defense at those settlements. One settlement has 3 people, but 2 of them are children. Soon, they might be orphans.

Artair is starting to consider the recruitment beacon was unnecessary and he should have been satisfied with just being by himself.

It's even better when you get the "my friends been kidnapped", you get to the location and it's Super Mutants.

Very tempting to just go back to the settlers and say "no you [censored], they weren't kidnapped, they were EATEN. Now stop wasting my damn time."

I only wish we could.

But alas we cannot. And because we cannot, Artair has to deal with this [censored].

Or when it's raiders and you don't bother to kill the captors.

You release the hostage and they immediately whip out their concealed shredding mini gun and commence wreaking havoc on all and sundry.

Yeah. Warwick Homstead told me to clear feral ghouls at Fish Packing or something which is at least 3 km away.

When I get there, sure there were feral ghouls outside and there were Super Mutant camp on the side and those ghouls couldn't even survive them.

Now just how the fk they even walked south to Warwick Homestead at this rate????

Also, Sanctuary settler told me to clear feral ghouls at a garage/warehouse just around Sanctuary. I went there and only found one feral ghoul. And it even stuck in between freight box.

I think I'm done doing [censored] for them and I'll slit their throats next time.

it is one of the reasons people do not like the minuteman radiant quests oor radiant quests overall

at one point i had to rescue a settler from raiders not once not twice but 3 times in a row each time the same settler and the same location some of the weapons dropped previous rescue were still there
