Really Weird Dream I had last night.

Post » Fri Dec 17, 2010 7:45 am

I rarely have dreams where I'm not aware I'm dreaming these days... its either lucid dreams or OBEs for me, typically. If I DO have "normal" dreams, its a high chance of it being vividly disturbing, surreal and nightmarish (like last night after I took a sleeping pill...boy, did I learn my lesson) but even then I'm always aware at some point and on at least some level that I'm in another reality. I'm pretty much conscious most of my life...while my body is asleep, my mind remains awake sort of thing.

Seriously, we could make a number popular book series with these dreams. These books would be right next to Max Brooke's Zombie Survival Guide, Ripley's Believe It or Not, and that Toilet reading series full of random facts and stories.

We got a couple threads on wierd dreams, use the search bar and check them out.

A few nights ago I had a strange dream.

I was laying down in my bed, and apparently it was storming outside. Lightning lit up my room and I saw a masked figure dressed in a black jumpsuit or something, crouching in the corner. Lightning struck again and he was closer. This time he handed me a poorly sewn ragdoll with yarn hair and button eyes. He told me to put it under my bed or else something bad will happen. I, of course, put it under my bed, and the man or whatever disappeared. I guess it was around 10 minutes later when lightning struck again and I saw that the little doll was not under my bed anymore (somehow). I put it under my bed again. Then another 10 or 15 minutes passed and the doll was back where it was before. I decided, for some reason, to not put it under my bed this time. Then my room turned into a bright, white room and I saw the masked man again. Except this time, he was just floating in mid-air, but he was standing straight, like he was on the ground. Then out of nowhere, a chair appeard, floating in midair, and the man sat on it with his hands on his knees. The chair and the man started spinning vertically and the doll turned into dust. The man was starting to spin faster and faster as I started to hear a loud, high pitched ringing noise. Then the room started to shake and crumble apart and fall into a black void and I woke up.

I still have no idea why I dreamt of that, but I got great ideas for art out of it. I'm glad I had this dream.

*enters, dragging bedsheets behind*
Whaaaaa-?

Oh, yes, the Catfish Shark. Nearly as rare and deadly as the dreaded Carpet Moose. I'm amazed you survived at all, to be honest; those things have a mean streak a mile wide.
I would of course regale you with thales of nightly corporate espionage and Lovecraftian horrors, but my dreams have all been rather... well, boring as of late.
It is very sad. I know. ;3;

How goes your hunt for the silver key?
