I only play Dead Is Dead with Elder Scrolls.....it's been.......H.A.R.D.

but been so very very freaking F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S.

What are all your thoughts on this way of living the Skyrim game. As though, your very Soul.....depended On It ??

Title for this post is a great song from the late sixties and 70s...anyone out there no from whom I do speak of ??

I like D.I.D but I don't play it with all my characters. I think you will find some players that love it, some that don't care for it, and others like me. I don't know the song, but I might want to.

I should try it out sometimes, should be fun.

But I'm afraid I won't let my character go that easily. Once they're created, they're in it for life. Unless I made a fatal mistake and they'll get a nice vacation to Sovngarde.
It seems a waste to spend many a time into a character, just to "remove" him/her after his/her death.

But what if you got killed due to stepping on a few bones? Would glitches also count as a "real" death, since your character died while jumping on a cartwheel?

No, I'll try it out this weekend on master difficulty. If I die, I'm dead. Even if it was because I managed to clip through the world and ended up in Sheogorath's tea party while being chased by Mudcrabs.

You might just have a blast with it..just think what tools, potions and clever role playing techniques I need for a lengthy and brave Character to stay alive....plan well and enjoy!

Probably gotta be a sneaky one.

But I've been ambushed many times by a Snowy Sabrecat while playing in a First-Person mode.
Hmm...Creating epic potions to make enemies fight themselves sounds cool. Never tried that.
Definitely a way to clear out those Hagraven/Vampire lairs.

One arrow killing an entire bandit army...Yes...I'll do it!
Just need to create tons of healing potions to prevent those darn Sabrecats from getting the upper paw.

Deaths caused by game error (glitches, bugs what not) don't count. Also, if like your pet distracts you and you get one shotted by an enemy, I don't think that counts either.

I walk every where scouting the area ahead and to the sides } I only run when engaged in combat. For foes like the Sabrecat I use my unrelenting force shout to knock
off guard for That Crucial few seconds, use a paralysis potion then a weak poison and just fight until I'm the only one left standing.

 Generally,

I strive to avoid combat unless otherwise I most to defend my character's life or complete a quest { LOL }.

And just like I would if it were real I plan every trip though I take more risks than I should { note to self }.
I have food for companions and I { currently } Faendal and Vigelence. I do not re-load when they die....Even though I may Fondly remember many adventures and sitting by the fire in the forest through calm summer nights....I wont :nope: re-load.

It really is an epic way of obsorbing the game..

It sounds like you'd end up repeating the start of the game over and over before getting anywhere really fun or good. IF I was going to try this style, I'd use every trick in the book (archery lessons for ranged attacks combined with the Sneak tree's deadly aim perk, grinding Block and Heavy and Light armor both to a 100 by practicing against animals, dual casting muffle to get illusion to 100, conjuring the best possible atronach, hiring the meanest mercenary available, carrying the best possible potions and constantly scouting while invisible or ethereal) to avoid getting killed. None of this sounds fun, sounds like work.

Yeah I have to agree,
I can not see myself building up a character for some 15 to 30 levels and POOF, dead as a door nail...Start Over!!! That would drive me absolutely mad....lol

I agree. I could partially understand saving only every few levels/hours to make your decisions matter more, but to risk up your entire game for it? No way, especially when your playing time per week is short.
Granted, I don't play for challenge in the first place :P
