Reccommend me some armour!

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 7:36 am

Hi all!

I've just started my new roleplay character. He's called Amir Skriltan and he's an Redguard warrior. He's a vicious fighter and is accustomed to using a longsword and a sheild.

I will eventually need to equip him with some decent armour (he's not good enough yet - only level 2!), and need some to fit his style.

He will need:
An awesome looking helmet - It must be grey/brown/black/silver - NOT DAEDRIC
No cuirass - He's going for the gladiator look
Some nice greaves to match the helmet - Prefferably light armour, but heavy will do.

Cheers guys, hope you can help!

I like the look of the mithril helmet. and then my favorite greaves are leather and fur together with the matching boots. i don't know how the combination of the helmet with the greaves will look. if you want it to be really matching use the mithril helmet with mithril greaves and boots.

For a helmet I would use the Imperial Horseman Helmet.

I′m thinking Iron Helmet and greaves. I would recommend leather, but that helmet looks far too :yucky:

Definately not Iron. Got that at the moment, and it doesn't look that good.

Can't find a picture of a Legion Horseman Helmet, but the other Legion helmets look alright.

Steel Helmet and Greaves I like the look of personally. I don't go much in the terms of armour except for boots which I can wear under 9/10 of my robes.

I agree with this. It gives you a good gladiator look.

In spite of the name, the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Imperial_Horseman_Helmet#Imperial_Horseman_Helmet is not worn by horseman. It is the crested helmet worn by the Imperial Watch in the Imperial City.

You might go with Ebony for the greaves and helmet. Although you will have to wait a while before you start seeing it in the world.

You might consider a madness helm with dwarven greaves?

Oooh, looks nice.

There's one with horns and one without, I think I prefer the one without to be honest.

So, at the moment it's probably going to be this:

Helmet: Madness Helmet
Cuirass: None
Greaves: Madness/Orcish/Dwarven/Leather (A tad unsure!)
Sheild: Orcish/Madness
Sword: Thornblade/Blackwater Blade/Madness Sword

I hope it works out well!

Thanks all!

Get summon bound curiass, helmet, boots, greaves, and gloves scrolls. Make sure you have some repair hammers and go find some mud crabs or other low level enemies. Use one of the scrolls and try to get the enemies to damage the bound item at least one point. After this, repair the bound item with a repair hammer then drop the bound item. Wait until the timer on your screen expires then pick up the item again. There you go, you now have armor that has close to the protection of Daedric armor but weighs nothing.

leather gloves or bracers, chainmail greaves, orcish helmet? maybe? When i think of gladiators i think of plain armor or leather stuff. What about the champion arena armor? i know it has a shirt on it but its pretty gladiator-ish feel to it

for weapons i really like the fine steel sword, the blackwater blade at high levels looks about the same. I also like the orcish shield, its nice and round lol

I have SI. I'm not sure if I prefer the look of the counts helmet as compared to the standard madness helmet, but i'll try it.

I would go for Orcish.
Would also suggest that you use the orcish gauntlets.
Don't know any light armor that would fit.

I'm going to try Orcish and Madness, see what works out best.

Masque of Clavicus Vile

Always reminded me of the one helmet worn in Gladiator, the one where the face shield flips down and looks like a face. Maybe just me.
