Just got a Stratocaster and it plays very nicely. To anyone considering buying one, especially one with a C neck, go for it. Very nice neck action. (That is Corona strats)

I've got a custom strat, I had to paint it myself and put it together. Now about $400 later, it plays better than the $1200 ones and guitar center in my opinion. How long have you been playing?

What's with the avy? I thought you where Waspinator.

Got Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip - Angels today. I read the posts about tickets for their show and realized I didn't own any CD.
And I got the new Shpongle a week ago or so, I don't think I posted that.

I just decided to revisit my childhood and purchase an album I wouldn't regularly purchase....a pop album!

The 1993 Hit Album by Ace of Base - Happy Nation.

All of these songs are out dated..but solid. I still remember them...

Ace of Base never gets old man. Every summer is a blur of Ace of Base, Sugar Ray and Bran Van.

Felt like a change. I used to use this one ages ago but I changed it because people (including myself and Waspy) kept mistaking me for him :P Probably change back again soon...

I used to think it was called Angels for ages until I listened to the title track and realised it was Angles ;)

Way ahead of you.

Not sure I agree with you though, didn't really like what I heard of it. Will give it another listen when I have more time. The mixing is a [censored] joke though, I can't hear the vocals most of the time. If all I wanted to hear was violin wankery and unimaginative guitar riffs I'd put on... er, actually I dunno where else I'd hear that kind of thing, but I don't like it.

See if I change my mind after a few more listens though...

Never really avidly used itunes, bought my mom's friend got me an itunes giftcard for christmas. I bought Between the Buried and Me's - "The Great Misdirect". They're a progressive/independant/metal-jazz fusion group who IMO have the most complex and amazing talent for music right next to Jimmi Hendrix(aside from obvious difference like genre style). What I think amazed everything about Hendrix is his seamless ability to improvise so well. Well, with BTBM, they have this amazing way of meshing two styles of music(jazz+metal) and it somehow makes complete linear sense. Oh, and the songs are each at a least 7-8 minutes long, so it gives them some time to mesh these styles.

So, in short, I love jazz+metal, and I LOVE BTBM. Purchasing "The Great Misdirect" is easily the best monet I've ever spent for music. Period.

Bah, I like that violin wankery :P I find the mixing to be okay on most tracks except the first one. I dunno why but the instrument sound a lot louder on that one than the other songs. Singing sounds okay for me. My only deception on this album is the lyrics. On Fight With Tools, they were imaginative, provocative and awesome, on Survival Story, they're just okay :\

Still, the album sounds great to my ears :hehe:

I keep meaning to give that one a listen. I have (and love) Colours. You should get Traced in Air by Cynic - similar stuff.

Not sure I see what you mean by comparing BtBaM to Jimi, but they're both great so cool, I guess...

@Ceebee: Ah, well that'd be another problem for me then, one of the things I most liked about Flobots was lyrics...

I have nothing against the violin (or the other instruments), it's just the fact that I can't hear the vocals. On any of the tracks I listened to, not just the first one.

i finally got a violin bow yesterday. it's a lot bigger than i expected! i don't have rosin yet but i'm going out to buy that and guitar strings later. (i intend to use the bow with my guitar because i'm post as hell.)

still on the hunt for a speak and spell or an old keyboard or really anything from the '80s that makes some sort of digital sound. i don't wanna buy them online because they're always so expensive! i had a tickle me elmo but the solder melted in the sun and i've since lost most of its crucial parts ;_;

i haven't actually bought any albums lately, though. i haven't been following music at all. is the new Eluvium any good?

Bah, I like them all.
Love the bass-y-ness of it all.

Got DJ Shadow - Endtroducing and Fink - Biscuits For Breakfast (got the latter as a gift).
