Bought Let Us Prey by Electric Wizard and Charlie by Melt Banana recently. Never listened to the latter band before, and wanted to jump in at the deep end. Also, saw the Manics earlier in the week, which was by far the highlight of my month.

I can't tell if the vast improvement from my old guitar is because my old one was 80 dollars or i just svck and it sounds good to me lol. The guitar shop guy played some stuff on it and sounded awesome.

Bought lots of CDs in the past few days, although the majority of them were various "Greatest Hits" albums. Stuff like Bj?rk, Depeche Mode, Dire Straits, Enya, Garbage, Pet Shop Boys, Pointer Sisters, Radiohead and whatever else that currently escapes my mind :P

Ordered Deathspell Omega's Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice and also their newest, Paracletus, both on vinyl. I've already got Fas - Ite, Maledicti, in Ignem Aeternum, so now I'll have the whole trilogy. Can't wait for them to get here! :D

Edit: I also bought The Shins' Oh, Inverted World on vinyl the other day. I saw it in a local store and couldn't resist.

Recent purchases, all of them VERY highly recommended:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGaM1X42Tbc - Middle Eastern-inspired "world" music that would appeal to fans of e.g. Dead Can Dance. May be familiar to anyone who used my Mournhold Expanded mod.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9-LP-gaLT4 - a "neo-symphonic avant-psychedelic concept album" from the Venture Bros composer that's easily the equal of Pink Floyd's The Wall.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbTWwB_uR8s - soundtrack by the Foetus man. It's not actually arrived yet in the post, but anyone who watches the advlt Swim cartoon will know it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sshpJbeNF4U - Nick Cave's bare-bones garage blues rock
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJ9WSNYc4zo - replacing vinyl. Essential indie psychedelia from ex-Cardiacs/House of Love
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53ghwnKowY8 - replacing vinyl. This compilation of early album tracks and B-sides works very well as an album
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-dd4fMUhAY - although I had some individual tracks from this from a compilation, I'd never bought the whole album before. The minute I did, I realised I already knew it all from having attended so many gigs. One of the best-loved records by one of the most acclaimed and influential bands of all time.

Really in a mood for something modern and hardcoe-y, so I just bought five albums from Hassle 'cause they had a sale on.

We Are the Ocean - Cutting Our Teeth
Attack! Attack! - The Latest Fashion (yup, that Attack! Attack!)
65daysofstatic - We Were Exploding Anyway
Trash Talk - Eyes & Nines (got an mp3 download as soon as I bought this one. Just listened to it, [censored] brutal)
FACT - In the Blink of an Eye

Biffy Clyro? That's a shame. Blackened Sky was a brilliant album, but it was all downhill from there.

Picked up Wolves in the Throne Room's LP, Black Cascade, today. Saw it a store for pocket change practically -- couldn't pass it up.

Got that one as well. Did pay 14 EUR for it, though.

Also got:
Gallowbraid - Ashen Eidolon
Kvelertak - Kvelertak

And these have yet to arrive:
Agalloch - Pale Folklore
Agalloch - Marrow of the Spirit
Deathspell Omega - Paracletus
Les Discrets - Septembre et ses Dernières Pensées

I'm still waiting for these two, too. Also, I ordered aforementioned Wolves in the Throne Room's LP, Diadem of 12 Stars from eBay. Finally saw it for a reasonable price. Still looking for Two Hunters though. I hate getting into bands when they already have a number of albums out -- seems like so many of the older ones are hard to find by then.

I picked up Weezer's second release of the year the other day, Death to False Metal an unreleased material compilation. I love Weezer but this release hasn't really done much for me. I like the sound of it here and there but overall it kind of seems flat. I think Hurley was one of their best albums in a long while, so I guess I was expecting more out of this.
