I downloaded the update (not sure what number) but its the one which changes the damage on guns etc. Ever since Ive downloaded it Ive found it hard to get caps, find and purchase stimpacks and make ANY sort of damage to enemies using any sort of weapon, yet the damage I recieve from enemies has increased.

How can I get my game as close to how it was before the update? And which weapon has the highest damage.

Pretty sure the only way you can play NV is through Steam, which will always keep you up to date with the latest patch, and will not let you 'revert' to an older patch. Unless you're using a hacked version of the game, in which case I suspect you're in the wrong forum...

I have the PS3 version actually. So have the damage rating on weapons changed that much or are they nearly the same as the guide?

This sounds like a glitch tbh.. either that or they added a more leveled system to creatures which would boost health based on how high your level.
If any of you have living anatomy check the HP of a foe in V.A.T.s then compare it to the wiki info.
I'd check the GECK as well.

You aren't by chance forgetting that your gun skill determines the damage of the weapon
