Reclamation of Anchorage RP sign up

Post » Tue Oct 13, 2009 5:08 am

In 2066 the Communist Chinese invaded American soil. Recently annexed Canada sent soldiers to attempt to deal with the problem. Though it took American soldiers outfitted in T-45d armour to hold them off, holding them off was all they could do. No matter how many Chinese were killed it seemed that the Reds had five more to take their place. At least until June. In June West Tek released the T-51b armour, a modern miracle of science. But it wasn't enough. The Chinese had been developing stealth technology and the dreaded 'Chimera tank'. It was decided to simply funnel as many troops as possible into Anchorage to push back the Reds. You are a soldier in the squad of Captain Leroy Beckett. Your turn.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay first of all if that was 'non-canon' I don't care. This will be a RP chronicling the last days of real America, and perhaps the first days of a new world...

RULES
-Regular forum rules, I can't be screwed writing them, they're stickied anyway
-Read Illusionary Nothing's guide, otherwise don't waste my time
-Not everyone will be designated T-51b armour, nor is it easy to scavenge. If they got killed it's almost certain their armour is destroyed, same with the chinese stealth armour
-Have fun :twirl:
-NO ONE-LINERS. Normally I don't kill off characters but if you make a one-liner I will be tempted.
-No rank higher than Lieutenant if your an officer or Staff Sergeant if your an enlisted

OOC: Don't worry William, most of the Rp'ers on the Fallout section don't mind if the Rp isn't canon. Just as long as it has a good story. And with that, here you are :)

Name: Sgt. Todd Olson
Age: 26
Appearance: Black buzz cut hair, hazel eyes, about 5' 10" and 190lbs
Armour: T-51b Power Armour (If I can't have it, its fine that I don't.)
Misc. equipment: C-rations, Gun cleaning kit, small medical kit
Weapons: M14 Rifle, 10mm Pistol, Combat Knife
Specialty: Light Infantry support
Personality: Nice to get along with, easy going at times. When a officer is in the room, he is all respect towards the officer. And shun's those who show disrespect. When he's in battle, he is all serious and not very easy on the jokes. He figures that when bullets are wizzing by, you don't have time to laugh because it might be your last.
History: Todd grew up in rural Kentucky, on a small farm where he hunted his food and kept the farm going with his father, mother, and two little sisters. When he got older, into his teenage years, Todd's father came down with a sever case of the Flu, and died two years later from damage lungs. His mother and him tried to keep the farm going, but couldn't so they sold it and moved with his two little sisters to San Diego, California. There, Todd met his later to be wife, Nancy. They met in Todd's sophmore year in high school, and became joined at the hip. When the years passed, and Todd and Nancy graduated high school, Todd changed jobs as a bagger at a super store, and joined the military as a mechanic. During those years, Todd and Nancy got a house together and later had a kid named Sam. When news broke that China invaded Alaska, Todd took to the call, and joined into the Army. He was quickly fitted into a unit that worked on the new T-model Power Armour. There is where he learned what he could about the armour, and was quickly switched into a front line soldier wearing the new power armour. He's been there ever since.

Just a suggestion, maybe some restrictions. Like a rank and weapons restrictions. Just so people don't say they are a General carrying 17899 weapons of mass destruction. lol

Name: Lt. Mike Keys
Age: 29
Appearance: Very short, blonde hair. Tall. Toned. Green eyes. Scars on chest.
Armour: American Winterized Combat Armor. No helmet.
Misc. equipment: Tool Kit, Screw on silencer, Aviators.
Weapons: M16, Walther WA2000 Sniper Rifle, .357 Magnum.
Specialty: Scout/Sniper
Personality: Friendly, cocky, funny, a good leader. Dislikes people who try to push him around.
History: Was captured once on a small recon mission by the Chinese, then tortured. That is how he received the scars on his chest. He hates them with a passion now. He grew up in New York as the son of a large petroleum company CEO. His Dad pressured him into joining the army out of fear of losing the family business. Mike advanced through the ranks fairly quickly, and was moved to the Anchorage fight at the start of it as a Seargent. He was outfitted with T-45d Power Armor and put at the front of the army despite his wishes to scout around be a sniper. He hated the power armor and once their sniper was shot down he discarded it and took his place, earning a meddle for valor and being promoted to Lieutenant for his valuable assistance in taking down a large communist base believed to have been holding stolen fission technology. He has an older brother who is also fighting in Alaska.

Weapons: http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/158/fnminimi.jpg, Browning Hi-Power 9mm pistol.

Specialty: Support Gunner

Personality: Very friendly to those that are friendly back, loves a good sense of humor, doesn't take too well being ordered around by anyone other than his CO's,

History:
Harley's family was a Military family, his dad was in the Australian SAS and his mother was a nurse for the navy. Harley was born in America to Australian parents. It was obvious that Harley would end up serving in the military, it was also where he wanted to be. He dropped out of school to enlist at the local enlistment office.
He was in a motorcycle accident before he joined the Army, Him along with his bike went under a truck, it was a miracle that he survived, unfortunately his beloved bike didn't.
Harley joined the Army as a simple truck driver, but after a while he wanted a change, and was transferred. He found real happiness in the Army the minute he got his hands on a belt fed machine gun.
When the invasion into Alaska began, Harley urgently requested to be transferred into any unit that was being deployed.

Yes, MAD-MAX as you were first in you can have T-51b armour.

Also, the standard issue rifle is the AER 12 laser rifle, though the AER 9 (FO3 model) is still used. The National guard use the R91 assault rifle (FO3 model), ideas for if you can't make up your mind. Side arm is AEP 9 laser pistol, AEP 7 is used (FO3) as is 10 mm pistol

Sounds like a damn fun RP!

Armor: Winterized combat armor with a personal touch, a thick waxed cloth shawl that hangs over his shoulders. He also added spikes to his combat gauntlets for easier ice-climbing.

Specialty: Sniper Sergeant 1st class, Covert and suppressive sniper support, as well as High Priority assassinations.

Personality: Friendly to his fellow soldiers, with a good sense of humor. When in the field, there is no room for error, he is strict with men under his command, and he is also protective over them, but when a job needs doing, it must be done well.

Brief Bio: Born in Kansas to an Irish family, 3 sisters 2 brothers and a mother and father who worked hard. Mattias wanted more in his life, so he joined the Army, and made his way to Sergeant Major in a sniper division, due to his "heroic acts" while fighting and training in the field. He was sent to Anchorage when the invasion began. (Will elaborate later)

This RP sounds awesome!

Name: Private Samuel Johnson

Age: 21

Appearance: 6'0", lanky, dark-skinned, dark brown eyes, short black hair, 185 lbs

Armour: Winterized Combat Armor with matching helmet

Misc. equipment: Ice picks, x5 Frag Grenades, x2 pistol clips, x6 rifle clips, and some books

Specialty: Radio Operator

Personality: Samuel is rather quiet, often only talking when prompted or interested in what others have to say. He is respectful of his superiors, and is very intelligent, often spending his down time reading.

History: Pvt. Johnson originally had no plans on being a soldier, he was in fact far more interested in finishing college and starting a career as a biologist. However, this all changed once the Chinese invaded Anchorage, causing him to put down his plans to go to grad school and enlist in the U.S. Army. After finishing basic training, he was designated a radio operator and sent to fight for Anchorage. Though he enlisted to protect his loved ones from the Chinese threat, Samuel is somewhat skeptical as to why they are fighting, considering the near dictatorship being forged at home, and has no true hatred towards the Chinese.
