Recoil?

From what ive seen so far I cant really tell if Brink is going to be more of an ADS game (cod) or hipfire (killzone i guess).

On the one hand there doesnt seem to be much recoil, so ADS could be easy, but the videos also have alot of accurate hipfiring from pretty far away. So what do you guys think? I hope the hipfire isnt too accurate, it makes games feel less like a FPS to me

The hip fire would be like shooting in Halo (withought clicking the thumbsticks) and the ADS is for when they are at long range............

They just made Hip Firing a little better than normal, because a lot of people in SD hate ADS lol

ive never played much halo, so forgive my lack of knowledge but cant you hipfire people from insane distances in that game?

Yea, but not a lot of the bullets hit that's why you use a scoped gun in Halo

Splash Damage is making it so both are viable (but ADS is recommended for more than medium range). Either way, the iron sights I've seen so far look pure badass. Another thing I realized, I'm not even mad that a lot of people are going to spray if they want. Because you can do it with most weapons. Unlike Call of Duty, where 1-3 weapons have crap like grips, and THEN have Steady Aim. In this, it's as if everyone has them.

It probably will be. But don't let it deter you, you'll be able to aim down your sights and still take people down with ease. Remember, this isn't Call of Duty.

From watching the Choir of Guns trailer you can see that there is significant recoil on some weapons. The one that comes to mind was the semi auto rifle.

I saw virtually no recoil except from the semi auto rifles.

Wut? They clearly are not.

Hipfire means shooting from the hip, obviously.
ADS means bringing up the gun to use the iron-sights.


And I guess Killzone is in general a handy comparison to the overall gun-feeling of BRINK.
