Great. Reminds me of early Simon and Garfunkel.

What do you get when you sing a country song backwards?

You get your dog, truck, and woman back.

Not strictly country, but amazing music with slight country sensibilities.
Crosby Stills and Nash.
Bob Dillon.
The Byrds.
Love, Forever Changes.
Neil Young.
Donovan.
The Grateful Dead.
Jefferson Airplane.
Country Joe and the Fish.

Great bands, but you forgot

I'm just gonna say Randy Travis, I don't country music but I like some of his.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atBg9zLI2bA it sounds religious and all at first but it's not (skip to about 0:40) It's just kinda a smart ass song, but I think it sounds good.
I also heard alot about this Miranda Lambert, haven't heard any of her music but alot of country fans love her.

Yes, it is. Easily his best song, but Forever and ever (I think thats what it's called) and diggin' up bone are great too.

Hard to get better than that

I know how it feels, people always call me a music freak and stuff because I know more about most people's favorite genre of music than they do plus knowing the same amount of knowledge in other genres. It's pretty insane stuff how much I research and everything honestly.
