I was recently in the same predicament as yourself. Now I have quite a few recommendations that are similar to what you've listened to already.

All those artists are over 10-15 years old, hell, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings played with Johnny Cash all the time.

Uhhh...Willie Nelson has been performing, according to Wikipedia, since 1956. Hardly consider him a "new guy". And Charlie Daniels has been performing about as long. How new is new? lol

I'm not sure how this will go over, but I'm gonna throw out Todd Snider. He's more country/folk, but is really good regardless. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjRfGN0yvFI is a great song from him.

Not strictly country, but amazing music with slight country sensibilities.
Crosby Stills and Nash.
Bob Dillon.
The Byrds.
Love, Forever Changes.
Neil Young.
Donovan.
The Grateful Dead.
Jefferson Airplane.
Country Joe and the Fish.

Great list, although I would have added http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFoIdxLBm_A and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpWnQPrrWpk&feature=related. (What's with all these brothers anyway? Everly Brothers, Delmore Brothers, Burrito Brothers,)
