Recommendations for Item Placement Mods

Post » Tue Nov 30, 2010 1:10 pm

Hi all. I'm in the process of digging out Oblivion again after being away for a year or two :) I've noticed a lot of updates and replacements for a lot of the mods I load, but haven't seen too much about the various item placement mods. Which mods would you recommend? I'm talking about placing books and furniture. I've tried auto book placer in the past, but the last time I tried it, it had issues with the variety of bookcases it supported. I think I usually wound up with book placement and decorator assistant. Apparently DA has some issues and I've seen suggestions about trying Redecoration instead. Opinions? I've already grabbed RD's better book collision and was planning on loading that.

I would also like to extend a hearty thank-you to all the modders still active in the community. It's really nice to pull these games off the shelf and be able to load in some new material to give them a nice refresh ;)

I recommend using that inconjunction with http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6262 <-- still a great mod

Those two should take care of most decorating needs, I think...

Just had a look at Enhanced Grabbing - that sounds like way too much fun! Reminds me of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (great game if you haven't tried) - it also had throwing objects to distract npc's... EG does sound better for larger stuff. So it sounds like BP and EG should cover it.

Thanks again.

Remember that it requires OBSE. Reading through Enhanced Grabbing's description (@TESNexus) is very informative.

Yeah I've got some mods that require OBSE v18 b6 or something like that. I've got the full release of OBSE v18, but have yet to find the latest beta...

v18 stable is the latest version.

Edit: The beta versions precede the main release.

Yeah it would, wouldn't it? Duh... Guess I was thinking of v19 - that's my story and I'm sticking to it ;)
