Recommendations for my next playthrough?

Post » Tue Oct 20, 2015 11:10 am

After months of playing with a lot of characters, i finally finished the main quest with my lv 28 summoner. So i wanted to try something new and maybe even upload some videos later.

This is what i had in mind... how would a common modern day person would react and survive if suddenly tossed into the Elder Scrolls world? So i wanted some recommendations about mods and gameplay, because i want to made the game somewhats "realistic".

First, not looking at the gps map ever.

Do not abuse knowledge of previous characters.

No magic... i guess shouts would be ok... maybe i'm the dragonborn and i just don't know it yet... or maybe not.

Starting with no money, no weapons or armor... bashing wolves with smartphone is not a good idea

Having followers is the most likely choice as he would need a guide.

The goal would be most likely return to Earth... maybe there is some artefact able to tear time and space... i wonder what would that be... :whistling:

I think i'll use a mod that add basic necessities like food and sleep. Maybe something that makes blizzards dangerous? Also i'll be using Skyrim Unbound, to make the start random.

Any more ideas?

*shrug* I have no idea of how I'd role-play through a campaign like that since that would kill the "immersive" aspect IMHO.

Although last night I did just create a high-elf who will become a summoner, jewelry, robes & clothing only, no physical armor or weapons (will only use a bound bow + spells), etc.

I haven't played a toon like this before so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17802/? I think it is a good combination with any of the "realistic" need's mods. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11163/? is the one I use, just make sure you also download a cloak mod and the other "nessessities for staying alive"... cause it would really svck to die of dehydration because you didn't download something that allowed you to carry water. Make sure you have a back-pack mod ( or a back pack in a mod) this will help with carry weight and also, look like a person who is out with all the right tools. I use Alternate Start Live another Life, that's just my choice... it actually has a couple starts that might suit the play through you are planning... worth a look anyway.

You also need to decide what kind of person it is that is getting svcked into Skyrim... I mean that persons background. Is he/she a city boy/girl, that doesn't know a hoot from a howl or a country boy that can track a coon through the woods. Either way, was this person a "hunter" cause I have friends that use a bow like they were born to it and can tack as good as old Daniel Boon. I have other friends that have no idea how big a cow actually is, have never seen anything wilder than a back yard bird. How young are they? 25 yrs ago, I could have chased deer all over Skyrim, but now I would probably chase flowers....or find a job as a cook. You don't have to have the most intricate backstory, but some of the details will help you decide how the character acts.

I feel that it would be very immersive, at least for me.

My last character was a Breton who only used robes and a bound sword as equipment.

Thanks for your input Areial :thanks: there is a lot to consider before starting.

I wonder if the Imperial race would be best suited for this, they seem the most average of the "human" races.
