Is Recon Armor Considered Power Armor? : Fallout: New Vegas

as far as the weapon damage bonuses do they consider recon armor as power armor?

No, not really. More like "Under Armour". It was designed, I beleive, to go under Power Armour. As a suppliment/control method.

I don't even get why Knights are wearing recon armor, they wore Combat Armor back in the day.

yeah I read it was like the padding to protect from the moving parts

Im doing OWB right now and realized my T51 wasnt cutting it

all I got now is that, christines recon armor and the doctor scrubs

trying to get something that wouldnt get the Bonus vs power armor against it

I'd say Recon Armour would be a safe bet.

Recon Armor is a thing Bethesda pulled out of their bum bums. It was to be " under armor " for the T-45d Power Armor they also pulled from their bum bums.

Right, because we never have prototypes/predesesors for armor and weapons, they all had the perfect blue-prints on how to build T-51b's. The T-45d's didn't make it's debut until the BOS started running low on working T-15b's lorewise.

I always figure that they use it because they found a huge cache of it in the Pentagon, hence their willingness to give it to mere wastelanders.

Well for BOS use if PA is supposed to be rare so you'd give it to the combat vet over the rookie and it lends itself to recon and other low key activities much better than PA does. I still don't like the big pulled stuff fron nowhere move but there are decent explanations for why the BOS would use it.

Don't see how it's powered in any way though.

It's Power Armor underwear, and decent people don't walk around in underwear, which is why it increases sneak skill

Thats how I see it, I've never used it at all, there is always a better alternative when I play, so it's useless for me. But I think it is around because t-45d was basically a punch of plates of metal.
