Hi there,
I've paid a bit of a price for messing about with my game this morning, I'd be really grateful if anyone can tell me whether or not I can sort this out!
I decided to try switching Steam to my D:/ drive, as C was really full. I followed the instructions on a Steam support page but must have done something wrong because only some of my games successfully migrated, and Skyrim wasn't one of them. When I went to play Skyrim Steam started to download it, which with my crappy internet takes 10+ hours, but happily I have managed to recover the lost Skyrim folder and put it into my new SteamApps folder.
I usually launch through SKSE and that is working fine, I can play my game and all my mods and saves are present and correct. But my main problem is that Boss can't find my Skyrim.esm file anymore. I've read that to get it to find the game again all I need to do is launch through Steam, but I can't do that because Steam still thinks I need to download Skyrim from scratch.
Does anyone know if there's a way that I can get Boss to find the .esm (I know where it is) without Steam, or ideally if I can get Steam to acknowledge that I have the game back? If not I'll just have to let Steam redownload it I suppose.
Many thanks for any advice!
