I'm having trouble recruiting Veronica. Currently I have Boone and ED-E and I've run across Veronica and I'm trying to recruit her, but the only dialogue I have with her says something like, "I'd like to have you along, but I can't right now." I figured that it was because Boone was in my party, so I told him to wait here in my motel room in Novac, but it still didn't work. I wanted him to wait for me at the Lucky 38 Presidential Suite, but I don't have the dialogue option to tell him to do that.

Is there something else that I should be doing to be able to recruit her? Thanks for any help.

you can only have 2 companions with you at a time, so you have to basically say to ED-E or Boone "get lost" but you can get them back later.

Only one human / humanoid companion.

If you get rid of ED-E you still can't get Veronica, so you need to boote Boone.

Which system are you running on, if on pc there may / will be a mod to let you have more than one follower.

You can only have ONE human companion at a time. thus you have to get rid Boone. He'll go back to Novac if you aren't at the point in the game to send to 38.
