I agree with Francois Lachon about long posts, I always try to do long posts, as I, hate really short posts or one liners. But sometimes its nearly not possible to do a long post in some situations, like Francois said when your asked a simple question, and you can only really answer that question. Also when i'm posting, it takes a while to write a big post and to think of what you want the character to do, I check to see if anyone has posted since I started writing my post, and sometimes their post changes the scenario and makes your post meaningless and useless.
Like the other day, in an RP, my character was about to go to the mess hall and get ammo, while along the way interacting with other characters and a russian drinking coffee. But, when I was writing it, I reloaded the page to see if anyone had posted (so I could keeep up to date with the scenario if they had), and then in that moment the captain turned up and said "right everyone we're leaving NOW", so my big post was useless. By the time I would have posted it, the whole team would have been out in the snow rather than in the firing range and mess hall. And by then the only post I could write was that i had to grab my gear and run out.
It does disapoint me a bit when I see someone has replied and see its a short sentence. But I do understand sometimes you cant always write 5 paragraphs, But please try!
