so we all know that there is no multiplayer, but im sure that you might be able to recruit poeple throughout skyrim to aid you, like fallout, so considering that you could, what kind of character, race would you want to fight by your side.

Nobody. They just get in the way of AOE spells and enchantments.

This, unless the AI has been overhauled so that they avoid your attacks and don't stand in front of you. Otherwise, I'm ridin' solo. (And no, I don't like that song)

Yes, they're called companions, and its already been confirmed. With "magnetism" its suppose to be a lot easier to fight with them by your side.

I don't get why people like having companions in Oblivion. They just get in the way of my insanely overpowered AOE spells and enchantments. If I had companions with me I couldn't use my insanely overpowered "52 points of shock damage to everything in range of me with every swing" weapons, or my 90 point firestorm spells.

compainions in OB were awkward, they were better in FO3. in the todd/gi podcast they covered this slightly. in which they said there would be more companions (maybe recruiting nearly any npc *thats how I heard it*) but they would have less of their own story line. I am hoping they work just like companions from FO3 but with more of them and less if no story line at all.

btw, companions could be useful in getting between you and your enemies, necromancer's spawns always deliberatly got in the way of my ranged attacks so I would like to have a companion do that for me.

well maybe there will be really hard dungeons that you will need someone to help you out in, for example in oblivion, i liked to summon creatures to help me out, but another option is to have a companion, so if i did have one i would like an ogre to be at my side, because even though they seem to be angry they are loyal as well.
