Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum, but not to the game.

I tried all .ini fixes, windowed mode and the amazingly detailed FO3 tweak guide (kudos to Koroush Ghazi for an amazing piece of work).

Freezes are now less common, but CTDs are still a pain (2 separate issues in my opinion), so my questions:

1) Which is the most recommended winOS for FO3? XP, 7 or 8? I will dual boot if needed.

2) I'm suspecting that game cache and simply loading cells are were things get hairy, any other suggestions except the known AI/HWthreaded .ini fixes, windowed mode and FFShow driver disabling?

I really love this game and I think I will re-visit it many times in the future (already 8 years of on-and-off gaming ), but the SW issues really kill the joy for me TBH. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

As for my current rig (and a very humble one at that):

CPU: Intel Core i3 4030U @ 1.90x2 GHz

RAM: 4 GB (for now)

OS: win8 64 bit

GPU: nvidia GeForce 820M

Your CPU does not meet the minimum requirements for the game (dual core 2.4GHz). As for your video chip, I'm surprised the game will launch.
