I'm not preordering though. Wal-Mart/Gamestop always has loads of extra copies. And the pre order goodies aren't that great.

I only pre-ordered so that I'd be guaranteed a copy on release day. I pre-ordered before they were even offering any bonuses.

Can't wait though. I know it's bad to get this hyped about a game, but there's nothing I can do. It looks too good.

Also @OP: It's Septiego, not Septiago.
Edit: And lol at us PSN users. All alone and vastly outnumbered.

I plan on being a good guy but not a saint. More along the lines of Punisher and less like Batman.

We've fired enough 1911s in other games. Why not let the LeMat have a chance this time around? The poor thing's hardly had a career. :foodndrink:

that would be cool

unfortunately it wont

the Under barrel was not created until the late 1920s, and wasn't sold for commercial use until 1930

in 1908 the under-barrel doesn't even exist yet :P

I forget when the .44 Magnum was first made, if it was made before 1908 then that's the gun I'm going with would be awesome to go around with a Winchester Lever Action Rifle and .44 Magnum

be like Dirty Harry :gun:

no

it was the last shotgun adaptation Browning made before he died in the 20s

the Lever Action Shotgun (IE: the Model 1887 from Modern Warfare 2) and Pump Action Shotgun were made before 1908, Lever-Action (1887) Pump-Action (1897) he made one more shotgun in 1900 but I forgot what the major feature of it was

all of those were pretty substantial shotguns though, those guns would be just as useful (and awesome to use) as an under-barrel

You lost me, I was talking about the smoothbore barrel that the 9-shot cylinder revolves around. Basically the reason it was known as the graqeshot gun.

oh

in that case

I don't know, you probably know more about the Graqeshot Gun than I do, I think you're right though, I believe that did exist then (I remember seeing something about pre 1900s soldiers referencing what they called the Graqeshot gun)

Pre-ordered this game a week or so ago and it comes out in about ten days IIRC. Looking forward to it.

Man I can't wait to successfully hunt a bear with just a bowie knife.

And for those talking about the death of good modern westerns, The Assassination of Jesse James and Seraphim Falls are both excellent movies. :)

I think Unforgiven, Open Range, and Tombstone were some of the best later westerns there was.

As for series, I'd recommend Deadwood to anyone who enjoys good TV in general, the fact that it's a western helps a lot. That show was awesome, and it's a real shame it only ran for three seasons.

From the Wiki

To an extent, weapons and ammunition are represented on the character model.

Cool, i always hated this on gta iv, where you would pull out an assault rifle, rpg, and a shotgun from your jacket pocket.

Aww, and you can only have one revolver, there goes my akimbo six shooters idea :sadvaultboy:

I looked on the Wiki, but it only said horses. I tried looking everywhere else I could think of, but I couldn't find where one reporter on RDR said that they'd also have mules in the game. The reporter quoted one of the creators of RDR, I think on that? So I'm wondering now, if they'll also have mules or donkeys, and not just horses?

I'm pretty sure you start out with only a donkey in multiplayer, and work your way up to a decent horse. I don't know if there is anything aside from horses in SP, however.

There might be but you learn how to break a horse in beginning so there's really no use for them in SP.

Only 7 more days!!!!!!

Maybe it was about MP, but I haven't found the article about it yet. I'm still looking. :brokencomputer:

I dunno, depending on how RDR is, they could be used for a mount or used as a pack animal? But Marston will probably be using himself for his gear and weapons, so who knows? I'd like one though in SP, so I can be like Clint Eastwood in Fist Full of Dollars. He rides a mule in that, and not a horse?

SO excited for this game.

I don't see why the European/Australian release has to come out three days after the US release. <_<

Surely Rockstar has the resources for a single worldwide release. I don't WANNA wait for my RDR.

I'm sorry..... :(

I would be really pissed off as well. Another three days of waiting would possibly kill me at this point.
