Red Dead Redemption disscusion

I watched an old Clint Eastwood film the other day, and it occured to me, how is it that the western genre has only really survived in videogames? I mean, there's got to be a market for it. Hopefully this stuff goes in cycles, so when the current slew of superhero films dies off, there will be an era of renewed westerns.

I was no fan of 3:10 to Yuma by any means, but it was horrible.

I think the death kneel of the western drama in film is http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105695/. It kind of puts the genre to rest as only Eastwood could do.
