Red Dead Redemption disscusion

Post » Sat Dec 19, 2009 1:24 am

Alright then, we'll stick with "The Regulators". I'll put it in the OP in a sec.

Marston can sleep with prosttutes
I'm pretty sure that's false info. I heard that there's a part in the game where Marston is asked by a prosttute to have six, and he says no because he's loyal to his (dead) wife.(something along those lines)

I think these women of the night can lure you into a room and big bandit guy comes to rob you, it was on one of the youtube videos posted here i think, though i may have imagined. Everytime i look at this game i get hyped for it, its gonna be awesome :ahhh: .

Metro 2033 flashback there..Damn hokers.....

When the game is released we need to find a town we could use as an 'outpost'. By forceful means if neccessary :flamethrower:
If not I reckon we should just travel about taking things as they come.

Purple is unconfirmed in the key there, if you had read it.

Who did you hear that from?
Anyways, I'm in the same boat as you. I'd like to keep the amount of awkwardly executed six scenes my siblings see to a minimum. (I'm looking at you, Assassin's Creed 2)
Edit: Makes a bit more sense now.

You call that a six scene? The one in the first Mass Effect was so tame anyone could see it, AC2 didn't have a six scene, you saw a kiss, a womans back and then darkness.

Anyone else seen http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/907/rdrinfo.jpg Lots of info in that image.

I'm about to piss myself...

Sorry to be vulgar like that but I'm SO excited for this game right now. [censored]! I just realized that I won't be able to pick it up at gamestop because I'll be in California on the 18th.

NO!!! DAMN IT ALL TO PUSS-SPEWING HELL!!!

Also, I have a VERY bad feeling that the media will have a total hay-day with this game. It sounds like total sandbox/slight RPG/Western masterpiece of a game to most of us. But to them, its just gonna be another violent videogame. Lets just hope this game stays with the people who care about it. Us (by that I mean gamers the world over).

Cannot swim. Water kills Martson.

Well that's just stupid, IMO. Complete immersion killer.

The purple text is unconfirmed/false info. I highly doubt water would kill you though, that would be dumb.

I'm with you, brother! :D

Does anyone know if the entire gameworld is open for exploration right from the beginning like Oblivion, or will we have to unlock areas like in GTA?

GTA 4 fixed the swimming issue after fans had complained for years, I seriously doubt RDR would bring the deadly water back.

This game sounds so [censored] awesome. I am so tempted to get it just so that I can role play as the Man With No Name. :P

Lemme get this right, the special edition costs $60? If so, I am going to definitely buy it.

I wonder if there will be a bolt-action rifle? They've been around since early-mid 1800's.

Hey guys, to pass the time. Lets post about what we're gonna do once we form our posses/gangs. Also, what guns and stuff will you guys be carrying?

I'm gonna go with a Sharps Rifle, and a Le Mat revolver. Probably a Sawed-off as well or maybe some other shotgun. I don't know, I need more info on the guns they're gonna include.

Yeah, you get the special edition for no extra cost if you pre-order at gamestop.(I think)

I'm pretty sure there's at least one bolt action rifle in the game, in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEMxSUGZ6TU&feature=PlayList&p=946EFE500C9C9EA8&playnext_from=PL&index=7 video from 3:28 to
3:36 it looks like he's using a bolt action rifle.

Will I be missing a lot if I don't play online? Because it seems like everyone here is going to get it on the 360, and I'd be missing out.
