Red Dead Redemption style play for Skyrim?

Hey everybody, has anyone played red dead redemption? What I noticed was that it felt and played a lot like grand theft auto then I realized that the same company was involved in making it... xD

What was most notable to me about red dead was the radiant ai that would have npcs randomly run up to you for some miscellaneous task that might not always be what you think it is. One time a guy out in the middle of nowhere came running up to me for help then ended up throwing me off my horse, hoping on, and riding away while im shooting at him... That game was such a great experience for its bounty hunting and the fact that you could fail a job. Then there was the aspect of the town store, gun store, and bank, in the town. I loved every now and again going in and robbing the bank and running like hell to get away from the marshals chasing me out of town.

Then you could get letters of pardon that would take away all of your bounties which if you were smart about it you could rack up a serious amount of mayhem then if you survive long enough you could go to the office and turn in the letter of pardon and be scott free. And with the way the game is having bounties in each hold that could be really interesting.

Maybe I'm not understanding what you want, but isn't that kind of thing http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:World_Interactions

That type of thing is already in the game ( Skyrim), implementEd differently. I play RDR between my long term RP's because I like the differences, but it's still somewhat easy to RP a slightly different character. Plus it's easy to pick up after a couple months not playing.

As long as your walking from place to place you get many more world in counters. Fast Travel limits all those, even riding a horse can prevent some from happening. .. mostly cause you go by without noticing, that there is someone in the bushes.

Um, no...

Yeah, I saw all that stuff, its kinda stupid really... You get the fugitive and hired thugs if you managed to piss someone off. Thats hardly the same as what im talking about. I mean its all basically the same, you have the thief that meets you at the fork in the road, the mercenary that wonders this way and that.

Thats all so basic and thoughtless. In RDR You would have a gang roll through town randomly which you never see happen in skyrim. Random shopkeepers would get robbed and you could run down the thief. You could do actual bounty hunting which involved taking the guy alive and being chased by his gang to stop you. There was an actual bank that you could rob. gambling you could take part in and shoot the guy if you think hes cheating. All kinds of stuff that happens in RDR that never happens in skyrim...

I mean really, where are the hold treasuries and armories. Where are all the things you would actually associate with government? If you go to rob a shop they never have the gold sitting somewhere, you empty their lock box once and it stays empty forever... I honestly cant think of a single reason to be a bandit in skyrim, there is no real way to sneak back into town or linger without being detected. I havent used it yet, but I hope NOTICE BOARDS works well in this respect.

You realize it's a different type of game? Bandit... Thief? same deal... you can steal and go back a couple days later and steal from the same vendor. Their are countless mod's that could give you the "extra" types of encounters.

It would make no sense to have bandit's hit town and run into Belethors and take stuff so you can run them down... cause pretty much you would be getting in the way of the hold guards and the AI would probably start smoking. Now bandit's hit town and start harrasing the cit's and you help the guard with that...

The way I look at it, if you really want something like the encounters RDR has...then mod it in yourself if their isn't a mod that suit's. Of course you might find someone that would be interested in a project like that, you never know unless you ask....
