Does anyone know if there is a way to stable all of your accumulated horses (or, one of each breed)? I think it would be cool if there was a way to get the three top breeds and have them all available to use if wanted.

My brother kept laughing at me in online mode, I was playing as this hugely overweight US soldier, and every time I tried to shortcut down a steep hill he'd start rolling and tumbling like he was in a 1920s slapstick comedy. I like the way you die instantly if your nose goes under water. Once I was acting all badass out by this old woman, and as I turned to leave her property I slipped and fell in a lake.
Same here, me and a few others guys were fist fighting and sometimes we would get knocked out and fall in the water and drown, it was pretty fun.

I was standing on the roof of a train, feeling like a total badass, and without noticing that I was on top of an enormous bridge high above the river, tried to jump to the next carriage. Needless to say I fell off into the water. Then there was the time I posted last thread, when I fell into the valley outside Luisa's house, got out, nearly got back to the house, fell in again, got out and promptly got shot to death by bandits <_<

I lold at a fat guy on a donkey. I find it annoying my horse dies from a small fall yet I can sometimes survive rolling down a mountain.

@ rev films I like riding the trai like that, I only wish I could look as awesome in MP, I was shooting things like a safari on it before I found out there was a challenge.

IIRC if you buy the licenses for the horses you can get them again as much as you want.

Hehe the trains in this game are awesome.

Spoiler

Late in the game I took Marston's wife out on a cart on a holiday to Mexico, but it rained the whole time we were there.

Another time, I kidnapped the preacher from Armadillo and took him to the huge brothel in Mexico. At one point he stopped complaining and just made friendly conversation with me. Oh, and we got there by train. Just me, standing in the carriage with a preacher over my shoulder. :P

I love that people just start talking like normal after you kidnap them. Like when you hear the [censored]s proposition you while lying on your horse.

Apparently 'women of the night' is censored

Damn you guys get friendly talk I had a bounty who was sayying crap like "if you let me go I will give you a kiss" right after saying he will piss in my eye o.0

Just call it "syphilis roulette". The only rude one I had was this random guy from the saloon, he kept saying he was going to [censored] me up when I let him go. Well I ain't gonna let you go then buddy!

Once I hogtied a runaway for some sheriffs, but they just shot him to death while he was lying there.

I think I've found the most fun thing to do in this game.

MAJOR SPOILERS
Spoiler

1. Go to the place where Dutch jumped off the cliff
2. Climb up all the ladders and get to the top of the cliff
3. Make sure you have the drunk cheat on(invincibility is optional)
4. Watch your drunk self stumble off the cliff
5. repeat.

Oh and the code for being drunk is "I'm drunk as a skunk and twice as smelly"

Haha.... I've had that phrase as my forum status for a couple the last week. I forget why I had that in there, but it must have been from the game. Funny.

Get this for annoying cutscene glitch:

Spoiler
Towards the end of the game where you send your wife and son away on the horse whilst you remain in the barn to face the music... Throughout that entire cutscene I had a mauled and beaten Jack (After he had been attacked by the bear) in the back of the barn, along with the actual Jack, who was active in the cutscene. He was just floating there in the background, all covered in blood... Horrifying.

Same thing happened to me. It really kinda killed the mood of the scene.

AFAIK that horse is the best one in the game. However, the Red Dead Wiki has a picture of every type of horse.

You can't really say its the best, The Hungarian Half-Bred (white horse) has the highest stamina in the game, but it is slightly slower than the other 2. The Kentucky Saddlebred is the more balanced of the three, then the American Standard Bred (all black) is the fastest in the game but slightly less stamina than the other two.

Yeah, it's a tough one.

Spoiler
I enjoyed killing his wife, brother, horse and then shooting that bastard 1 time in the knee, 3 in the chest and 2 in the head. I hope nobody ever does that kind of thing to me in real life, because I enjoyed that part of the game far to much :P

Spoiler
Oh good, so I wasn't the only one who killed Ross's entire family. I felt he had destroyed John's family (the only one he had really known, his gang), and then destroyed destroyed Jack's family as well.

Does anyone know what John's wife died from? Never stated in the game.

That was epic when the whole cart flew away :P

Also, how can I make more money? I've finished story mode, and now I'm buying all the weapons and outfits I haven't yet, but I don't have enough - is there any stranger mission, job, hideout etc. that yields more than the others?

So I lost my stallion, which kind of pisses me off >_<. I was just doing a mission, and after it when I whistled for my horse some regular paint horse came up to me. It's really annoying.

You think that's bad, here's what a big, fat bounty target said on my horse...

"You're not bad looking, maybe we can work something out?"

TL:DR at end.

I made $450 by hunting last night for about 15-30 mins.

Here is how it went, I started at the ranch where you get the first mission.

I walked from the ranch to the east, followed the train tracks looking for big game to hunt.
I was creeping along in crouch (but my stupid horse kept following me) when I heard some gunshots and such going off, so I went over to check that out and see if it was a scripted sound and had no location, or if it was a real event.

When I got there, one guy was standing on a wagon shooting at two other guys, (I didn't notice the blue circle on the mini map until later) and when I got close the two guys (bandits I guess) started shooting at me.

Well I get a map scrap form the guy and go on about my way.

Eventually I ran across some deer (two doe's) and was stalking them, but my silly horse was not helping. they ran into some swampy grassy area with a creek, I finally got a clean shot off and took down one of them.

Well, once I finally made it close to the dead deer (was a long shot) there was some boars around so I killed them too!
I started skinning the dead animals and here comes a pack (or two) of wolves and I kill and skin them all.

Was pretty epic, stalking deer through high grass, running along some boars then a large pack of wolves moved in at the end.

TL:DR
Hunting, it makes lots of money.

P.S

I was in Armadillo and some guys came in riding horses and shooting guns dragging a guy. What was up with that?

This game is so neat, with the random events and such.
Is there a way to turn the mini map off?

You hunt on foot? I just ride after packs of Buffalo with my shotgun and try to kill them as close to eachother as possible to skin them quicker.

Coincidentally, that's also how I hunt bandits...
