Red exclamation marks - mods most likely to cause the issue : Fallout: New Vegas

I see red exclamation marks at least in the Prospector Saloon. I haven't really installed any texture mods lately, apart from NMCs' patches. Everything used to work fine. Can other than texture mods mess up your game like this?

It most likely means you have something installed incorrectly. Usually the exclamation marker means there is a texture error/missing. So something was likely installed wrong and either added incorrectly to the game world, or deleted a base game thing. (Pro-Tip, don't use mods that actually delete things from the base games.)

IIRC, it's actually a missing mesh, but you are correct in stating somethings not installed correctly.

@OP: My best advice to to go back and recheck your most recently installed mods and make sure you've installed them correctly...and for Pete's sake, http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35003/? if you haven't already. You won't be sorry once you've learned to use it.
