i have been missing around with an explosive weapon for range and melee for close combat. i gave red glare another try out. it does take awhile to learn how effectively to use. it has rapid fire and a decent clip size. not as damaging as a missle launcher or fatman. with a full clip, can take down a average death claw. oh, and the NCR sell exploive reckets by the hundreds,

The save I'm playing lately is explosives and melee based, been primarily using Gehenna and the 25mm apw, worked pretty well
