I hadn't noticed them, shiver me timbers! I don't know, but I'll go straight to one at the start of the game. Thanks.

The locations of the guardian stones. The one just south of riverwood is the set of three that were in the demo video.

i would say treasures, mainly because red x's like that symbolize that sort of [censored], then again it ain't the age of pirates....so who knows.

That makes the most sense. I agree with this.

As good a guess as there's been I reckon

There are too many for them to be Guardian Stones in my opinion, albeit that's also a good guess

Yes I noticed.. 18 Xs, only 13 stones (and the stones are in groups)... maybe its all the stones, and some other important sort of landmark as well.

They are only red on this stylized fake map. On the real one they are brownish/greyish.

Also I agree that Guardian Stones make the most sense.

Perhaps they're general points of interest - Guardian Stones and other such things?

I think im right in saying Bleak Falls is "after" Riverwood, and this would be indicated north on the map? The 'X' is south... ?
