So i'm trying to get a friend of mine into skyrim... which really isnt that hard, but for some reason, he kept getting destroyed at a really low level. We went in to check his skills and it showed his level for 1 handed was only 15, when it is actually closer to 30. I show now active effects that could be causing this.... I'm sure its something incredibly simple that i'm just not thinking about. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Its a known bug, it is still treated at what it should be, it just doesn't show.

ive heard that leveling up corrects it.
